The Merlin trial is one of the most popular trials that’s been known in the Hogwarts Legacy. Because of the existence of one of the most powerful wizards of its time, students are caught in the excitement of doing its trials.

In fact, there are 95 Merlin trials that you can encounter in the game. These are categorized according to the location where they should be held. One of which is in the Brocburrow area.

Having said that, we made this brief guide to show you how to deal with these Brocburrow Merlin trials in just simple steps.

All Brocburrow Merlin Trial Puzzles in Hogwarts Legacy

In the Hogwarts Legacy world map, you will see the Brocburrow area in the northeastern part of the Hogwarts Valley. There, you will see the two trials that you should finish to complete the Brocburrow Merlin trial.

These two trials are the Giant Stone Ball Trial and the Moonstone Merlin Trial.

Giant Stone Ball Trial

On the upper right side of the Brocurrow itself, you can see a feather icon on the map. Track it and follow the path. It will then lead you to a swirl symbol on the ground.

Upon arriving, use the Mallowsweet on it to start the trial. Once it already started, move south and you can see a giant hole that will serve as your landmark.

From there, keep moving south until you see stacks of stones on the path. Use Revelio if you are having a hard time spotting it.

Destroy these stacks of stones until you arrive at the third one. There, you will see a giant stone behind the last stack.

Then, move behind this giant stone and keep attacking it with your spell to roll it toward the hole earlier.

When the giant stone lands exactly on the hole, it will then be covered in vines and that’s when you know that the first trial is done.

Moonstone Merlin Trial

To start the next trial, go to the northwestern part of the Brocburrow icon on the map. You will see another swirl symbol on the ground. Use Mallowsweet to start the next trial.

From your current location, you should notice three small stone pillars around you. Upon using Mallowsweet, the vines around these small pillars will disappear.

In front, you will also see a group of sparkling butterflies. Approach them and cast Lumos spell. When you do this, all butterflies will go with you while sticking to the end of your wand.

Walk back to the location of one of the pillars and place the butterflies inside it. While still using Lumos, go to the next swarm of butterflies to get them, and walk back to the other stone pillars to take them there.
