Anime Card Battle just got a huge update that added a raid game mode, which currently features a really tough opponent. In this guide, we will be showing you everything you need to know in order to enter the game mode and how you can beat it!
Complete Raid Guide & How to Beat It
First of all, raids aren’t something that you can go to ay your leisure. They appear every hour or so, and then stay for roughly the same amount of time before going on cooldown.
In order to participate in it, you just need to go to the new Raid building at the lobby area. You can’t miss it, as it has a giant orange sign and a timer that shows when it will open or how long it will last if it is already up.
Inside, you will find the portal to the actual raid if it is currently active. Aside from that, however, you will also see a shopkeeper that suspiciously looks a lot like Kakashi from Naruto. He sells the following items:
- Adaptive Titan – I believe this is the boss card.
- Boss Potion – Temporarily makes boss cards acquirable through the standard roll feature.
- Corrupt Potion – Gives you a 50% luck bonus.
- Star Potion – Adds a temporary 20% border chance for your rolls.
- Luck & Speed Potion 3 – The best potions of their type that is currently in the game.
If you are ready to start earning the currencies required to get these items, then just wait for the raid to be active and then go through the white portal once it is up and running in your server!
How to Fight & Beat the Raid Boss?
Upon entering the white portal, you will see the Adaptive Titan raid boss just standing there menacingly. You should also notice that there is a progress bar on the top part of your screen while in the raid area.
Hitting the milestones in the progress bar is basically how you earn rewards for it. Now comes the weird part, and it’s fighting the Adaptive Titan.
The thing is, you cannot actually beat the boss. Instead, you just want to deal as much damage as possible in order to get the progress bar to go up. You literally can’t deal damage to him no matter how hard you try. His health bar will remain the same at all times.
However, the amount of damage you dealt (which isn’t really visible) will contribute to the progress bar, so you should always use your best team for him.
My personal suggestion is to use Salamander and Fire Fighter at the start if you have them. This will stack two different burn abilities right off the bat. After that, just dump your two hardest hitters to get a solid shot or two from each before dying.
Alternatively, you can try to stack cards that reduce health percentage and just roll with that. I’m not sure how effective this actually is, but I did see the bar move up a bit with just a deck full of Shades.
Other than that, there really isn’t anything else to say about this fight. You really just need to keep bashing your head against the wall until you are satisfied with your progress or the one hour timer runs out.
Here is the deck that I am currently using that only uses some pretty low rarity cards and no support cards because they slow down the battles:
- #1. Fire Fighter (1 in 85,000) – Procs max health burn in the first turn. This has a 60% chance to happen.
- #2. Salamander (1 in 2,000) – Procs a normal burn that stacks with the other one. This should play two burn animations.
- #3. Cat Burglar (1 in 20,000) – Will chunk 10% of the boss’ health when it enters.
- #4. Another Fire Fighter – Will proc another max health burn. He must be placed last so that the first Fire Fighter’s burn is over. Two burn animations should play here, and if not, that means Fire Fighter failed its proc.
This deck is really cheap, but it makes a noticeable dent in the progress bar. It is far from the best setup for this, but it will be enough to get you some rewards even with horrible luck in the rolling department.
If you are on PC, consider using an auto clicker or even a program like Tiny Task. You can do this efficiently over the whole hour by angling the camera so that the Interact button is going to be right over the “LET’S FIGHT!” option.
By doing this, you can just let the game play out and do something else for the meantime. Progress will still be slow unless you have some really powerful cards, and that’s just the nature of the beast, unfortunately.
That is pretty much everything you need to know in order to “beat” the new raid boss in this game. While you are here, check out our guide on how to beat Muzan in Anime Card Battle as well, since he is also included in the update and is actually possible to defeat!
