Anime Card Battle: How to Beat Muzan Boss

Anime Card Battle just got a huge new update that includes an entire new zone that you can enter through the portal room. In this guide, we will be sharing a few tips on how you can beat the boss that comes with it, which is the Immortal Demon, a totally legally distinct version of Muzan from the popular Demon Slayer manga and anime franchise!

How to Beat Muzan Boss

Before we begin, I’m sure you are well aware that the game’s collection method is purely based on RNG. As such, a single build that takes advantage of really powerful (and rare) cards might not be the best fit for everybody.

In the next few sections, we’ll go through a few builds that you can try, and hopefully you have the cards required for at least one of them. Before moving on, though, let’s quickly go over what the Immortal Demon even does.

Immortal Demon has the Demon Body ability. This causes all of his hits to apply bleed, and he will also have some life steal whenever he hits a bleeding target. Funnily enough, this is a bit overkill as he already has a base damage of over 3000.

Because of his one shot damage output, all the builds will use 4x Power Candy in the support deck. This will maximize how much damage your cards deal, as every little bit matters.

NOTE: Immortal Demon was recently buffed, so a lot of builds you might be seeing online are not effective anymore. This does not mean he is impossible to beat, though.

Build #1 – Burn and Time Stop Stalling

For the first build, we have a relatively hard to acquire setup that heavily relies on you getting extremely lucky. It includes the following cards:

  • Salamander (1 in 2,000) – This card will apply a guaranteed burn at the start. If you have a rarer version with a border, use it for extra damage.
  • Fire Fighter (1 in 85,000) – This card will also apply burn at a 60% chance. This one will deal 10% max HP damage per turn for the next 2 turns.
  • Ice Princess (1 in 300,000) – Upon death, this card will freeze the enemy for the next two turns.
  • Bizarre Hero (Gold – 1 in 45,000,000) – This Jotaro border varianthas an insanely low drop rate, but it is essential as you need the bump in damage alongside his ability. If you somehow have a rainbow border Jotaro, even better.

The idea behind this setup is that you will be opening up with a couple of burns that will deal a lot of initial damage (they stack, as these are different burn effects). Then, Ice Princess is going to sacrifice herself to freeze the Immortal Demon.

From here, you will just have to pray that Bizarre Hero will proc his Time Stop ability after the freeze wears out. This will take a few tries, as Jotaro’s ability has a 20% chance to work, but when it hits, you should be able to get that “W” over Muzan.

Build #2 – Aladdin Luck

This one is just a variation of Build #1, in which you swap out Bizarre Hero for an Aladdin (1 in 5,000,000). It will still be hard to get, but significantly less so than a bordered Jotaro.

The main idea here is the same. You just stall out the burn for the first few rounds and then hope that Aladdin’s ability works throughout the whole fight.

This is because Aladdin’s Solomon’s Wisdom ability has a 30% chance to reflect damage. This is more luck-based than the previous setup, but when it works, it just works.

Build #3 – Burn + Beatdown

This next one will be taking advantage of burns as well, but will try to finish off the boss with some unga bunga damage dealing cards. Here is the deck:

  • Salamander (1 in 2,000) – Same reason as the previous builds. We just need his burn for free damage per turn.
  • Fire Fighter (1 in 85,000) – Again, we just need his burn to stack with Salamander’s. Retry if it doesn’t proc.
  • King of Curses (Boss Card) –Sukunaattacks twice, and the second hit will deal 20% of the enemy’s current(?) health. This makes him a heavy hitter that should get Muzan pretty low.
    • IMPORTANT: Swap out the Power Candy and give him the Wooden Log. This is essential to this build’s strategy.
  • Kil (1 in 2,500) – This card’s sole purpose is to execute the boss with its ability.

This deck is even more of a gamble, as the main idea after burning the Immortal Demon is to have King of Curses get two successful hits. The only way to do this is by having the Wooden Log proc a dodge at least once.

If you have Ice Princess, it might be worth tagging her in and taking either Fire Fighter or Salamander off the team (she must go in second). From there, we just need Sukuna to get more than one successful hit.

After that, the hope is that Immortal Demon’s health is at least 15% or lower. This will let Kil execute him in an instant, even with his wee 50+ damage.

ALTERNATIVELY: You could also try to use Cat Burglar or the Galactic Tyrant card twice with some Wooden Logs to whittle down Muzan if you don’t have the burn cards.

Build #4 – Rainbow Nobara Unga Bunga

This one is a little more on the rare side, and you will need RNGesus to be really nice to you. Here is the deck you will be using for this one:

  • Ice Princess (1 in 300,000) – She is just here to freeze the Immortal Demon for the real star of the deck.
  • Nail Master (Rainbow Border – 1 in 5,500,000) – You will need the rainbow border version of Nail Master to have the highest possible attack that she can get.
  • 2x Masked Leader (Gold Border 1 in 10,000,000)Gold or higher for these two is non-negotiable. You will be needing their raw damage as well.

This one will also be using a different support deck. Basically, you want everybody except Nail Master to have a Wooden Log. For the rainbow Nail Master, she should have either a Power Candy (1 in 25,000) or a Super Idol (1 in 1,500,000).

You can probably already tell what we’re trying to achieve here, but basically, the Masked Leaders will bump everybody’s damage up while Nobara gets a ton of free damage while Immortal Demon is frozen.

Once she gets one shot KO’d by the boss, you want the Masked Leaders to get some successful dodges so that they can finish him off. You could try to sneak a Kil card at the end instead for the execute, though this will also get rid of one 20% party damage buff.
