With the latest update to Anime Champions Simulator, players might wonder how to navigate the revamp on the quirks and affixes system.

New Cosmic Quirks & Affixes Breakdown and New DPS Meta in Anime Champions Simulator
Quirks
There are two new Quirks in the game.
Boxer
Boxer increases your auto attack damage by a 2.2 multiplier. It also:
- Increases Base Damage by 2.2x
- Increases Crit Chance by 1.3x,
- Increases Attack Speed by 1x
- Increases Movement Speed by 10x
Boxer basically shuts down your ability to do ultimates. This means that your units will mostly be carrying out auto attacks (punching forever, basically)
Crimson Demon
Crimson Demon is effectively the opposite of Boxer in the sense that it prioritizes Ultimates. Its effects are as follows:
- Increases Ultimate Damage by 5x
- Increases Base Damage by 2X
- Increases Crit Chance by 1.3X
- Increases Charge Speed by 0.5X
- Increases Move Speed by 10X
Additionally, if you look at the update notes, it says that your abilities now recharge based on time and not the number of attacks you successfully execute.
Affixes
Warrior’s Victory Hammer Blaze
This is a Cosmic Tier affix that affects the following:
- Increases Punch Damage by +75%
- Increases Crit Chance by +18%
- Increases Attack Speed by +60%
- Increases Damage by +60%
Ancient Magus Victory Hammer
This is another Cosmic Tier affix that does the following:
- Increases Ability Damage by +75%
- Increases Crit Chance by +18%
- Increases Charge Speed by +15%
- Increases Damage by +60%
Balancing Quirks
You want to be playing two builds and have both of those builds at the same time. Here are the two builds that are currently in the meta.
Melee (Boxer) Build
Your first build can be based on the Boxer. This means that you should have the Boxer and Titan (which will buff your punch attacks) and you want the Warrior’s Victory Hammer Blaze affix with that.
Caster (Crimson) Build
This build consists of the Crimson Demon paired with the Black Hole and the Ancient Magus Victory Hammer affix.
You want to have both of these builds at the same time to maximize your damage. You want a combination of melee and caster attacks to really lay down the heavy numbers for optimal rate damage and other world-grinding.
It isn’t completely clear yet exactly how things will pan out, especially in the competitive space. One thing in particular is how Celestial fits in the new update.
Right now, it plays as a boss-killer affix and buffs you dramatically against bosses, but players speculate that there is more testing needed to determine where it fits in the meta.
