Anime Last Stand: How To Complete Slime Portal Guide

The Tensura Update of Anime Last Stand dropped a few days ago, bringing lots of new units, evolutions, and of course, the Slime Portals. These portals are super important because completing them earns you Slime Coins, which you’ll need to get evolution items for the new units and to spin on the limited-time banner. In this guide, I’ll show you everything you need to know in getting and completing the Slime Portals in the game, as well as the best farming method!

How To Complete Slime Portal Guide

So, there’s a Slime Event happening in Anime Last Stand, and your main focus is probably farming Magisteel for the new banner and event items. Along with that, you’re likely trying to evolve units with Spirit Shards, Reroll Traits using Trait Rerolls, and grab Stat Cubes—all that good stuff. Well, I’ve got a super-efficient method for farming all these resources at once, and it’s as simple as running the new event portals—especially the tier 5 ones.

Now, the Slime portals are a goldmine for resources. The tier 5 drop are insane; they’re stacked. You get Emeralds in every stage, Magsiteel, and guaranteed Technique Shards—1 to 2 per run. Plus, you get Trait Rerolls at a rate similar to the Leaf Village method. Spirit shards are abundant too, with a chance at epic and even mythic drops. And don’t worry, if you don’t get a perfect Stat Cube right away, the Capsules you earn can also drop them.

As for farming Jewels, they don’t drop directly from the Slime portals, but you can spin the wheel using the Slime portal rewards. The wheel has a chance to give you up to 500 jewels, and even though it’s rare, it’s definitely worth trying. You can spin once per day for free, and subsequent spins only cost 100 Magisteel, which is easy to farm.

Unit Selection

The units you bring into the Slime Portals make a huge difference. The enemies in these portals are primarily Water-type, so you’ll want to counter them with Nature-type units to deal effective damage. Here’s the team I usually run:

  • First Slot: I use Pride (The One), mainly for his team damage boost.
  • Second Slot: Gojo in his unsealed form; Strongest Sorcerer (Unsealed). He’s an amazing support unit, especially when it comes to slowing down enemies in the early waves.
  • Third Slot: Hakari; Fortune Master (Jackpot), who excels at crit damage and crit chance. He’s a boss-killer and shreds through regular units as well.
  • Fourth Slot: Ulmiorra (Segunda), one of the best nature units in the game right now. He’s a solid starter, especially in the early waves.
  • Fifth Slot: Green Esper (Celestial); Tatsumaki. She’s another strong nature-type starter unit.

For farming, I recommend Businessman Yojin. He’s the best money unit in the game, hands down. Also, make sure you put insane traits on your units, like Glitch on Gojo and Hakari. But honestly, you can manage with Overlord-tier traits and higher for the Slime portals.

If you’re looking for more options, consider using Pain, Benimaru, Guts, Saitama, Sunwoo, Hashirama, Rengoku, Law, Wind Prince (Spirit), and Hero Hunter (Bloodthirsty). Also, if you’ve pulled any of the limited-time banner units, definitely use them. They give you a damage boost in the Slime Portals.

But if you’re asking me for the best unit to prioritize, Hakari is my top pick. His crit damage and crit chance make him a lifesaver, especially in the higher-tier portals, where boss-killing is crucial.

Slime Portal Overview

Now, let’s talk about the gameplay and features of the Slime Portals. There are six tiers, with the sixth being the Secret portal. The secret portal offers a chance to get the new secret unit, Rimuru. If you’re the host of the secret portal, you’re guaranteed to get Rimuru, but even if you aren’t, you still have a shot, though the odds are lower. The secret portal also drops the Anti-Magic Mask, which is required to evolve Rimuru into its second evolution.

There are eight different challenge types you can face in the Slime portals. In my opinion, here they are, ranked from easiest to hardest:

  1. No Hit: Base HP is set to 1, but this hardly changes anything.
  2. Tower Limit: Limits each player to placing five units.
  3. Flight: All enemies are flying types.
  4. Immunity: Most status effects don’t work on enemies.
  5. Short Range: Reduces the range of all units by 33%.
  6. Speedy: Increases the speed of enemies.
  7. High Cost: Increases unit cost by 33%.
  8. Bare Bones: Removes all traits from your units, leaving them with only their base stats.

Keep these challenges in mind when choosing which portal to run.

Tips and Tricks for Clearing Slime Portals

Here are some tips to help you succeed in these Slime Portals:

  1. Early Unit Placement: Make sure to place a unit within the first two to three waves. I’ve seen too many runs fail because players don’t place anything early on, making it hard to defend. Even if you’re saving up for a specific unit, having something like Ulmiorra (Segunda) or Tatsumaki down early can help hold the line.
  2. Turn Off Auto-Skip: If you’re struggling in the early waves, consider turning off Auto-Skip for the first seven to eight waves. This allows you to build up money and place units more strategically. If your team is really struggling, you might even need to slow down the gameplay speed temporarily.
  3. Spread Out Your Units: Position your units throughout the map. Place some up front, others in the middle, and a few towards the back to ensure consistent damage across the board.
  4. Gojo Placement: If you have Gojo in his unsealed form, place him as early as possible. Where you place him depends on how your team is doing. If your team struggles in the early game, place Gojo around the middle or near the base. Later in the game, you might want to move him closer to the front to slow down bosses.

Those are the tips I’ve found most helpful for tackling these Slime Portals. If you’ve got any other tips, feel free to share them in the comments below.

Slime Coins Bonanza!

To wrap things up: Just keep running Slime Portals to get tons and tons of Slime Coins, which you can spend later in the event shop. Prioritize nature units, but also bring high DPS and support units. Be mindful of the challenge types, and always place your units early. Adjust your gameplay according to your team’s needs, like turning off Auto-Skip or slowing down the speed if necessary!
