Anime Spirits released yet another update, this time featuring the Gear 5 Duo soul, which has two insanely overpowered Gear 5 users (Luffy and Bonney) follow you around. In this guide, we will be showing you how to get it and what abilities it has! There will also be a quick summary of how you can awaken it at the end of the article!
How to Get Gear 5 Duo Soul + Showcase
The process to getting the Gear 5 Duo Soul is actually pretty simple, but can potentially take a long time depending on how lucky you are. First, head over to Wano Island, which can be found in the second sea.
From the main entrance gate, which is red, go to the northwestern corner of the town and you should find the Gear 5 Duo dungeon, which up to four people can go in at a time. If you are struggling to find it, just stick to the left side of town and you’ll see it eventually.
You will have to repeatedly do the dungeon until you run into the secret boss, which is not guaranteed to show up in every single run. This is where the luck factor comes in, as you also have a pretty small chance (5%) of getting the Gear 5 Duo Soul as a drop from it.
Again, it should be emphasized that the Gear 5 Duo Soul only drops from the secret boss. The normal boss does not give it to you, so extremely unlucky players might have to do this grind for hours on end. The “superboss” has 4,500,000,000 HP as opposed to the normal version’s 3,500,000,000 HP.
You can also get it from other players via trading if that is an option for you. We cannot tell you the price for it, though. We can easily assume that it will be incredibly valuable, unless you have a friend who is willing to give it for free.
Gear 5 Duo Soul Showcase
The Gear 5 Duo Soul will have both Luffy and Bonney float around behind your character, and the abilities they give you are basically a mix of what their devil fruits can do. Here is a list of the skills you get:
- Age Increase (E Move) – An aura appears in a large area around the user, dealing damage to anything caught within it. Unlike the anime, nobody actually gets older, though.
- Dawn Gatling (Z Move) – The user lets out a rapid barrage of strikes in a large area directly in front of them.
- Gigant Punch (X Move) – Bonney will inflate one of her arms and punch directly in front of the user, similar to how Gear 3 Luffy attacks.
- Gigant Kaminari (C Move) – Luffy will grow in size and charge up a massive electric punch, which will cause a massive eruption in a large area around the user.
- Gear 5 Aura (V Move) – The user becomes enveloped in a bright white aura with a few colored lightning particle effects. This grants a temporary damage bonus and has a long cooldown.
- Ultimate Bajrang Gun (T Move) – Both Luffy and Bonney will fly up into the air and charge up a massive attack that will deal a ton of damage in a large area on impact.
One thing to note is that some of these moves might need you to awaken the soul first in order to unlock. The next section will show you how to do just that.
Awakening the Gear 5 Duo Soul
In order to awaken the Gear 5 Duo Soul, you will need to bring a Drum of Liberation Scroll and a Gear 5th Essence to the NPC called “Gear 5 Duo Awakener”. This guy can be found just behind the Gear 5 Duo dungeon entrance.
These two items are acquired from the Gear 5 Duo dungeon as well, but they have different rates and drop conditions. Their rates and conditions are the following:
- Drum of Liberation Scroll – This has a 5% drop rate whenever you kill the normal boss. If you face the secret version, you will get a 15% drop chance instead.
- Gear 5th Essence – This only drops from the secret boss and has a 10% drop chance. This is harder to acquire, but you actually have a better chance of finding it before getting the Gear 5 Duo Soul itself.
