Anime World Tower Defense has a really tough Paradox Invasion Mode added recently, especially if you play it on the hardest difficulty.. As a result, many players have been struggling to beat it.

If you’re also struggling with it, we’ve got you covered! In this guide, we’ll be showing you the best way to defeat the Paradox Invasion Mode. This includes defeating the Nightmare boss that makes an appearance. Let’s dive in!

Best Paradox Invasion Nightmare Guide

The Paradox Invasion mode consists of a total of 10 waves, with each wave getting progressively harder. It’s especially challenging on the hardest difficulty. At the end, you’ll have to face off against the Nightmare super boss in Anime World Tower Defense.

You can also change around some units and placements that we mention in this guide depending on your playstyle.

Units

Before you go into the Paradox Invasion Mode, you’ll need to select the right units in Anime World Tower Defense.

We recommend you bring the following units:

  • Blood Queen
  • Denis
  • Shining Star Idol
  • Kujaku Demon (Awaken)
  • Peem
  • SlimeLord.

You should definitely not switch out Blood Queen and Kujaku Demon. This is because both these units synergize well with each other. You should try to put a decent trait on Blood Queen if you can.

Kujaku Demon is also your main damage dealer with Blood Queen giving him the Blood Hunt category buff. In return, she receives the Demon Power buff.

These buffs are crucial for beating the Paradox Invasion Nightmare mode. If you remove them, then you might not be able to beat it on the highest difficulty.

Also, if you’re wondering how you can get Kujaku Demon in Anime World Tower Defense, we’ve got you covered! Check out our how to get hidden best despair unit SCR Kujaku Demon guide.

Wave 1-4

The first four waves are crucial in the Paradox Invasion Nightmare mode.  Make sure to have Auto Skip turned off for these waves.

Starting off, you want to place down your Blood Queen and the farm units you brought with you. These farm units will help you make money you need in Anime World Tower Defense. You can be loose about your placements for the most part.

Try to place Blood Queen in a corner with Kujaku Demon just after her. You should place down 3 Kujaku Demons and slowly upgrade them.

Make sure that Blood Queen and Kujaku Demons have some separation. Or these units could get stunlocked.

You can group up Slimelord though if you want because of his Resist ability.

After the placements, you should work on upgrading Blood Queen and your farms. You can do either but make sure that Blood Queen sustains. It’s an important step in beating the Paradox Invasion mode.

Eventually, you’ll get Blood Queen upgraded to a point where she has a Cone AoE followed by full AoE. Try to get this done in the first 4 waves if possible.

Once Wave 4 is over (or whenever Blood Queen is full AoE), you can turn on Auto Skip in Anime World Tower Defense.

Wave 5-10

After you’ve fully upgraded Blood Queen in Anime World Tower Defense, you can place down Peem. She will help your units heal and remove debuffs that will start appearing in the later waves.

At this point, you should also try and max 2/3 Kujaku Demons for Demon Flame. You can keep the last of these units for the standard Despair effect that the unit deals.

By the final wave, you should have your upgrades completed. At this point, there is nothing more to do except wait for your units to complete the boss.

With the Blood Queen and Kujaku Demon combination, you will be able to destroy the final Nightmare boss and win the mode!
