Best Method to Farm & Craft Legendary Perks
Simply put, the absolute best way to get legendary perks is by just farming as many rare and epic ones that you are willing to part with. This is because you can use them to craft legendaries with a decent success rate.
As you grind in this game, you will inevitably have a large amount of unwanted or just plain unused rare and epic perks. These are actually going to be your ticket towards getting a lot of legendary perks, assuming you have the money to keep forging some.
The Main Method – Crafting Up
First, you will want to craft epic perks by throwing in as many rare ones at the forging menu as you can possibly add. To speed up the process, just click on the dropdown menu and select Rare Perks, then press the Auto Add button on the side.
With some base rare perks, you can get an 80% success rate for making an epic, which will cost you thousands of the in-game currency to do so. Due to the high percentage, it is very likely that you will not fail this process.
You’ll want to throw in as many as you can when forging, as it will just be pretty wasteful to try crafting these with around a 50% success rate.
Now, once you’ve made a lot of epic perks or have just run out of rare ones, switch over to the Legendary Perk crafting option. The idea is going to be the same, simply auto add your epic perks to maximize your chances of succeeding.
For legendary perks, adding as many epics as you can will typically result in an almost guaranteed successful forging process. You could also mix in some rare perks when forging, though this is a bit risky and only recommended if you have nothing left.
Some decent fodder will also show up on the Market every now and then. It may be worth buying some of these perks if you have an excess of currency and desperately want to craft a legendary one.
And that is basically the entire loop that you have to follow as you grind through missions, since relying on those for legendaries will make it so that you take a really long time to get a usable loadout.
