Arcane Lineage: Best Super Class Tier List (Light & Dark)

Super classes are super! But which ones actually stand on top?

Super classes in Arcane Lineage take the base classes and crank them up a notch, offering new skills, unique playstyles, and stronger abilities. But with 15 different super classes available, choosing the best one can be tricky, especially since they’re locked behind your alignment.

Whether you’re Neutral, Orderly, or Chaotic, you’ll have access to five different super classes, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. So, which ones truly stand above the rest? Let’s break them all down in this tier list and find out who’s on top!

Best Super Class Tier List (Light & Dark)

As I mentioned earlier, there’s a total of 15 super classes in the game. These super classes are locked behind your alignment. There are 5 available for Neutral alignment, 5 for Orderly, and another 5 for Chaotic.

With that in mind, let’s rank all 15 super classes to find out who’s on top.

All Super Class in Arcane Lineage ranked from best to worst.

S Tier

Super classes that belong to the S tier are the best among the best. They have unique skills and abilities that easily outclass all of the other classes in the lower tiers.

That said, the super classes that belong to S Tier are as follows:

Impaler (Chaotic)

The Impaler is known for dealing massive damage as well as AOE. The best part is that it can deal even more damage the lower its health. You can even increase its damage output even further with a handful of buffs.

One of the most damaging skills in the Impaler’s kit is Rendering Barrage which rushes your target with a flurry of strikes. Moreover, if the target is bleeding, the skill gets a bonus attack.

Ranger (Orderly)

The Ranger is another super class worthy of being placed in the S tier. It specializes in AOE attacks that inflict poison on the targets. It also has high mobility as well as evasion.

Blade Dancer (Neutral)

The last one worthy of S tier is Blade Dancer who has the unique ability to wield two swords at the same time. This allows it to deal tons of damage, all while having the ability to parry incoming attacks.

A Tier

Now, let’s move on to the A tier. While Super classes that belong to this tier are solid options, they lack certain aspects that could propel them all the way to the S tier. These Super classes are as follows:

Necromancer (Chaotic)

The Necromancer super class features good overall sustain and damage, albeit not enough to make it to S tier. It relies on summoning the undead, and it even has the ability to revive fallen allies.

Elementalist (Orderly)

The Elementalist has a versatile kit that allows it to adapt in various situations. It’s capable of dealing huge AOE damage and crowd control, not to mention that it can even buff the entire team. However, the new update didn’t introduce any special equipment that could possibly propel the Elementalist to S tier.

Hexer (Neutral)

The Hexer isn’t really a DPS-focused class, but for a support-type class, it does its job pretty well. It specializes in debuffing enemies and even has the ability to make enemies Vulnerable at the start of a battle.

Saint (Orderly)

No doubt the best healer in the game, the Saint is capable of keeping all allies alive during a battle. It also receives buffs which causes it to deal more damage and become more tanky each time it heals an ally.

However, with gear like Parasitic Leech, any party can do just fine without a Saint. It’s still a solid A tier, nonetheless.

Berserker (Chaotic)

Just like the Impaler, the Berserker can deal more damage the lower its health. It also specializes in dealing massive damage by foregoing defense. However, due to its low defenses, it can be rather hard to keep a Berserker alive during battles without proper support.

Darkwraith (Chaotic)

A hybrid between a DPS and a Summoner, the Darkwraith relies on its Darkbeast summon to make it viable in combat. Unfortunately, the Luck stat has been nerfed, making this super class far less effective than it used to.

B Tier

Super classes in this tier can be considered decent but lack the firepower to contend with those in the higher tiers. The ones that belong to this are as follows:

Lancer (Neutral)

The Lancer is a tank-type superclass that specializes in getting the enemies’ aggro so the other party members can focus on dealing massive damage to their targets. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really shine that much outside of a party.

Paladin (Orderly)

Just like the Lancer, the Paladin is a tank-type superclass, but it can also function as a healer/support. As a very tanky class, it does pretty well in parties. But personally, I believe every party can do just fine without one.

Brawler (Neutral)

Unfortunately, the Brawler got nerfed in this update. To top it off, its scaling is currently broken, causing it to stay in the B tier. Maybe if the bug is fixed in future updates, the Brawler could find its way to the higher tiers.

Monk (Orderly)

The Monk is arguably the better Brawler in my opinion. It’s a tank-type super class, but it’s also capable of dishing out decent damage to its enemies. But then again, decent damage isn’t enough to make it to the upper ranks of this list.

C Tier

The C tier is where underperforming super classes are ranked. They don’t have special abilities that make them outshine other classes, and their damage output is way below decent.

There are only two super classes that I would put in this tier which are as follows:

Assassin (Chaotic)

Before the Light & Dark update, the Assassin was a decent super class capable of dealing heavy damage over time. Unfortunately, DOT was heavily nerfed in this update, thus greatly affecting the overall performance of the Assassin.

Rogue (Neutral)

Quite possibly the worst super class in my opinion, the Rogue doesn’t really have something that makes it shine. Similar to Assassin, its damage-over-time playstyle has been greatly nerfed. Until it receives major changes, the Rogue will remain in the lowest tier.

The Final Verdict

And that wraps up the super class tier list in Arcane Lineage! Hopefully, this gives you a clearer idea of which class fits your playstyle and which ones are worth aiming for. Of course, tier lists aren’t everything, if you love a certain class, go for it! But if you’re looking for the strongest options, this list should help steer you in the right direction.

What do you think? Do you agree with these rankings, or do you have a personal favorite that deserves a higher spot? Let me know!
