In Anime Crossover, quite recently, the maximum rank that you could reach was N and N+ Ranks. However, this has now been increased to M and M+ ranks, which have been a significant hurdle for many players in the game. After all, the game has been getting quite a few updates. So, if you’re struggling with this too, not to worry – we have you covered! In this guide, we’ll show you all the requirements and strategies you need to conquer the challenging rank up tests. Without further delay, let’s dive into it!

M+ & M Rank Guide

There are quite a few requirements and strategies you’ll need to utilize if you want to reach M and M+ Rank. The starting ones especially should be fulfilled before you even attempt them.

Successfully completing the M and M+ Rank Test relies on achieving a sufficient damage per second threshold. For M Rank, you need 70+ Qi DPS.

When you get the M Rank, you get the following bonuses:

  • 5.8x Weapon Damage
  • 13x Shadow Damage
  • +70 Shadow Levels.

For the M+ Rank, you will need a significant 6 Sx+ DPS.

When you get the M+ Rank, you get the following bonuses:

  • 7.1x Weapon Damage
  • 16x Shadow Damage
  • +80 Shadow Levels

The current game mechanics do allow you to make powerful shadow teams so you can meet these demands. But it will require different strategies.

Awakening

Starting off, the first thing you need to do is unlock your Awakening in Arise Crossover. The Awaken system gives your character a huge buff, giving your stronger abilities and better stats. You’ll get a permanent +25 Level Cap increase and +15% Shadow Damage buff.

To get it, first off, you will need to get your hands on a Double Dungeon Rune by crafting it. This is so you can reliably get the Statue encounter, otherwise it will be very difficult. You can do this in one of the following ways:

  • Crafting it using 10 Rank Up runes.
  • Purchasing it from the Rune Shop for 200 tickets.

Choosing between crafting and buying will depend on what you prefer. For instance, active dungeon grinders may prefer crafting, while players who don’t mind spending might opt for convenience.

Next, you will need to wait for a Leveling City dungeon to appear on the map. Once it does, use your Double Dungeon Rune here. After that, defeat the Monarch boss and this will cause the Statue boss to appear.

To get the Awakened title, you will need to defeat the Statue boss.

Awakening Strategy

For a guaranteed Awakening attempt, we recommend several preparations. Starting off, the Statue’s HP dramatically scales based on your Inventory by a factor of 50.

So, we recommend that you sell all unused Shadows and Weapons. This will minimize its HP and make the fight much more manageable. Additionally, we also recommend using a Health and Rank Down rune to get a significant survival edge.

Before entering the Leveling City dungeon, we recommend that you unequip all your active relics and reset your stat points. This will give you a clean slate to optimize for the fight ahead.

Inside the dungeon, you can equip your most potent relics that directly boost your damage output. You can also allocate all available skill points into shadow damage for maximum offensive pressure against the Statue boss.

Consuming a shadow damage potion from the shop can also help.

Acquiring SS Rank Shadows

One of the earliest ways in which you can make strong shadow teams is to increase your chances of arising SS rank Shadows. Starting off, you will need to get your hands on Ultimate Rank Up Runes.

You can craft these in the Guild building and each of them requires x5 Rank Up Runes. You should try to craft at least x3 to ensure consistent SS Dungeon Runs.

Once you have the Rank Up Runes, your next goal is to find an S Rank Dungeon. These dungeons can spawn anywhere, so your goal should be to explore all the islands to find a spawn.

Whenever an S rank dungeon spawns, it is normally announced. You can also get a guaranteed S rank dungeon spawn at the following times:

  • 12:00 AM UTC
  • 09:00 AM UTC
  • 12:00 PM UTC
  • 06:00 PM UTC
  • 09:00 PM UTC.

Once you find an S Rank Dungeon, use the Rank Up runes to transform it into an SS Rank Dungeon. This will increase your potential for high rank shadow arises. Your goal is to arise as many as you can in these dungeons.

Run the SS Rank dungeon three times using an Ultimate Rank Up Rune to maximize your SS Shadow acquisition. After these three runs, you should have a significant pool of SS shadows.

These SS Rank Shadows are the building blocks to the higher G Rank shadows that have a higher DPS. Crafting a single G Rank shadow requires the following:

  • x6 SS Rank shadows of the same type
  • x499 Common Dust
  • x299 Rare Dust
  • x69 Tickets.

At this stage, managing your Tickets and resources is crucial. If you find yourself running low, consider running more dungeons that drop specific dust types or tackling the Infernal Castle.

Relics

While G Rank Shadows offer a significant damage increase, you can further amplify it with strategic rune usage. These can boost the damage of your shadows.

Some effective relics that we recommend in Arise Crossover are:

  • Crown Of Snow (Shadow Level +19.04)
    • Dropped by the Snow Monarch in the Snow Raid
  • Echo Shard (Shadow Level +13.20)
    • Obtainable from Mori Town Dungeons (often dropped by late stage bosses)
  • Hive Plate (Shadow Level +5.55)
    • Dropped by the Ant King in the Dedu Raid.

Equipping any of these relics, especially multiple at higher ranks, will significantly increase your DPS level. Potentially, you might even get over the required DPS for the M and M+ Rank Tests.

Stat Distribution

A significant challenge in M and M+ Rank tests is to clear the large number of rooms within the 10 minute interval. To help with that, you will need to have the right skill points distribution.

Starting off, we recommend that you be at least Level 80 before attempting the tests. This will allow you to have more skill points that you can use for crucial stats.

To reach this level easily, we recommend that you focus on completing main quests while using XP boost potions.

Here is the skill points distribution that we recommend for your stats:

  • Shadow Power: 105+ Points
    • To increase maximum damage output
  • Shadow Agility: 40+ Points
    • To increase Shadow attack speed
  • Player Speed: 15 Points
    • To navigate around rooms quickly

If you still have points remaining, you can dedicate them to Shadow Reach and Shadow Agility for improved combat efficiency. This distribution offers a good balance of speed to clear rooms quickly and eliminate enemies within the time limit.

Guilds

Finally, joining an active guild can provide substantial benefits that will significantly aid your Rank Up attempts. Many guilds offer powerful upgrades like additional shadow equip slots, extra relic slot and Shadow Damage boosts up to 600%.

You can find active guilds on the official Arise Crossover Discord to join.

Keep in mind that most guilds require a daily Gem Donation to maintain membership. So, ensure you can keep up with these requirements before joining.

That’s everything you need to know about getting the M and M+ rank in Arise Crossover. As a final preparation, we also recommend using Shadow Boost Potions available in the shop for 40 tickets. They will give your shadows a temporary damage surge during the crucial 10 minute window where you must clear the rooms.

By strategically implementing these methods to enhance your damage output and clear speed, you will be able to successfully complete the tests!
