Orondum is the currency used in the mobile RPG tower defense Arknights. As a gacha game, players will need Orondum to pull for new characters, or Operators as they’re referred to in-game.

That being said, Orondum is a valuable resource in the game.

In this guide, we teach you how to get Orondum so you can pull for the characters you want in the game.

How To Get Orondum in Arknights

Annihilation Operations

Annihilation Operations are unique Operations with different mechanics. These include 400 enemies and 10 Life Points for the player – this means that these operations can take a long time before they are cleared.

When players lose all 10 of their Life Points, the operation is cleared rather than failing. Moreover, Sanity is also returned to the player relative to the number of enemies killed.

Hence the more enemies that are killed, the more awards are given.

Players can achieve a limited amount of Orondum from Annihilation Operations in a week, but it certainly is a consistent way to earn from time to time.

Initially, the limit was 1200 Orondum, and clearing Lungmen Outskirts and Lungmen Downtown will increase the limit to 1600 and 1700 respectively.

With the newer Annihilation Rotation System, the cap is increased to 1800. Players can hit this cap by completing missions in the operation like killing a certain number of enemies in a single run.

Keep in mind though that the progress of missions will not reset when the mission changes.

Paradox Simulation

Paradox Simulations are special operations that are unique to certain Operators. You can access these in the Operator Details menu when the operator hits a specific level.

These operations have a preset squad with pre-determined stats separate from the ones in your roster. Your Operator, on the other hand, will match with what you already have.

Paradox Simulations cost no Sanity to run and give you 200 Orondum when you clear them for the first time.

Missions

Players can get a daily amount of Orondum by accomplishing Daily Missions. These cost 100 Orondum each day.

This, plus the 500 Orondum you receive by completing the weekly mission, totals out to 1200 Orondum per week. This is assuming you finish all the daily missions in a week.

Store

In the Commendations Store, players can buy up to 6 stocks of 100 Orondum (600 in total) in the first tier for 40 Commendation Certificates each.

By the third tier, players can buy an unlimited stock of 100 Orondum for 50 Commendation Certificates each.

If players have the monthly card active, players also receive an additional 200 Orondum daily. Over a month, this totals out to 6000 Orondum (equivalent to 10 pulls).

The 6 Originite Prime you receive from the monthly card is also equivalent to 1080 Orondum.

Moreover, Pro Enhancement Packs provide Orundum equivalent to the quantity obtained by converting the Originite Primes used for their purchase.

Trading Post

Players can trade the Originium Shard for Orondum in the Level 3 Trading Post after completing Orondum Trade Orders.

These will be available when players have interacted and finished the missions associated with RIM Bilton, who will change the business strategy of the Trading Post to Orondum Trade.

Each Orondum trade order exchanges 2 Oroginium Shards for 20 Orondum.
