Developed by Hypergryph Co., Ltd., Arknights is a mobile tower defense game. The game combines the strategy of tactical RPG tower defense with the unpredictability of gacha game mechanics for a unique gameplay experience.

As a strategy-based game, Arknights allows players to practice their plays and craft new tactical approaches.

With the Drill Plan game element, tactical simulations are an option players can explore.

How To Use the Drill Plan in Arknights

You can simulate tactical drills using the Drill Plan. Because Arknights is a game that relies less on quick reaction times and more on-the-spot tactical analysis, the game plays less as a rapid tower defense and more as a puzzle game.

Given this, the option to repetitively simulate in-game situations is essential for players to get through the harder levels in the game.

The Drill Plan can be used to run stages, or Operations as the game refers to them.

Players can have a maximum of 30 available Drill Plans, and the game replenishes them daily, eliminating the need to worry about saving them.

By using one Drill Plan, you can execute a single Operation without depleting Sanity. This serves as a strategic method to conserve Sanity for instances when real missions fail.

That being said, you can’t use Drill Plans in modes that don’t consume your Sanity. Namely, Annihilation and Contingency Contract operations.

An exception to this is the Heart of Surging Flame side missions; however, it isn’t recommended to use the Drill Plans for this. This is because they don’t cost anything to do.

Furthermore, the usage of Drill Plans does not apply to Training operations. Using the Drill Plan to run these simulations will not yield rewards and won’t contribute to any mission’s progress.

You can choose to use Drill Plans to attempt a quest without the risk of incurring any losses. Along that vein, this increases your probability of success.

On the Operation interface, players can activate the Drill Plan and start running simulations.

And that’s all you need to know about how to use the Drill Plan! We hope this guide helps you, and if you have any questions, leave a comment below.
