Assassin’s Creed Mirage: How to Get Rostam Dagger & All Upgrade Locations

There’s lots of weapons and armor that you can acquire in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. As much as most of them can be located through chests, some are obtained through missions and contracts. If you’ve been looking everywhere for the Rostam Dagger and doesn’t seem to find it, I got you covered. In this guide, I’ll show you how you can get the dagger and its upgrades. Gear up, we’ll have to fulfill some contracts!

How to Get Rostam Dagger & All Upgrade Locations

In order to get the Rostam Dagger and its Upgrade Schematics, you’ll have to complete 3 Contracts, unlike most weapons and armors that you get from Gear Chests.

I’ll also show you how you can start getting contracts in case you don’t know how. Let’s get right into it!

How to Get Contracts

Now, before you’re able to move onto the next steps, you must first complete the “Zeroing In” in the Main Questline. Afterwards, the contracts will appear directly in the board.

You can find the Contract Board in the Hidden One’s Bureau attached to a wall. Simply interact with the board to accept the task you want.

Afterwards, you can find the contract session on the Investigations menu. Then, open the session and track it to mark it on the map.

1st Location – The Satiric Poet Contract

For this contract, you can find the NPC somewhere in the Soap Boiler’s District, as shown in the image below. He’ll be located under a doorway. You can use Enkidu or your Eagle Eye to find the NPC easier.

After locating the NPC, interact with him to enter a dialogue. He will then let you know that he has made some enemies, and needs your help to reach safety, which is somewhere in the Abbasiyah.

Your mission comes with an additional challenge: ensuring that neither you nor the Satiric Poet take any damage while escorting him.

As you proceed, the Poet will pause shortly after due to a barrier blocking the path. Simply destroy the obstacle and he’ll continue moving.

However, keep in mind that there will be guards on the doorway, so it’s advisable to wait for them to disperse before destroying the obstacle mentioned before to avoid drawing attention.

Up next, as you continue to the mission, you’ll stop at a point where the game will show guards detaining a young man, which turns out to be the Poet’s nephew that you’ll need to rescue to proceed.

While the poet remains hidden behind nearby boxes, you’ll need to deal with five guards in the vicinity. I recommend starting with the two archers at the top, as they will be a problem if you prioritize the other guards.

After taking care of the archers, you may now proceed to take care of the three ground-level guards. Once the area is secure, the Poet will continue on to the next section of the journey.

This time, you’ll face four guards, with three of them positioned under a substantial doorway that can’t be stealthily navigated.

I recommend looking for a loot chest containing throwing knives atop the building where the Poet hides and another one on a structure almost directly across from the first chest.

There’s also a sandbag that you can shoot with your throwing knives to draw attention. It’s also an ideal point to throw knives and assassinate the guards.

Once you’ve cleared the area, the Poet will continue walking for a bit. and stop after a short distance. He’ll then arrive at the safe point, and he’ll reward you with the Rostam Dagger.

2nd Location – The Botanist Contract

Now, for this contract, you’ll have to make your way to the Pharmacy of Haylanah, located Southwest of Abbasiyah as shown in the image below.

You’ll be tasked to “Steal the Medicine Samples.” For more details, read further into the guide.

Your mission comes with an additional challenge: to remain undetected through the course of the mission.

It’s a restricted area and is regularly patrolled by guards. Now, to help you complete the challenge, use the vases, bushes, or tall grass in the area as cover.

To begin, look around and use a lever as your starting point in order to get a good view of the area.

Now, you’ll need to get a total of 3 samples, which will be inside jars that you’ll need to open. It’s important to use your Eagle Eye to help you spot them.

However, there will be lots of jars in the area. Opening the wrong one will cause poison damage and impair your vision for some time. With that said, I’ll show you all the correct jars and their locations.

The first sample can be seen by looking down to your right. Make your way down to proceed.

Keep in mind that the correct jars will have this ‘X’ symbol painted on them, just like the first sample as shown in the image below. Simply interact with the jar to proceed.

Up next, from the first sample, look to your right. You’ll see 3 jars next to 2 guards. Go up close to spot the ‘X’ symbol and acquire the second sample.

Now, from the second sample, backtrack for a bit and look around you for this building as shown in the image below.

If you use your Eagle Eye, you’ll spot 3 jars upstairs, one of them is the third sample. With that said, make your way up the building.

The third sample is the one on the right. Interact with it to complete the objective.

Afterwards, you’ll get one last objective, which is to “Deliver the samples to Abu Jafar’s stash.” Now, to proceed, look to your left and go outside towards the balcony.

From the balcony, look to your right and you’ll see a tightrope. Go across and jump up the building.

From the building, look around you and you’ll see the marker for the stash which is located in a bush as shown in the image below.

After completing the contract, you’ll get the Rostam Dagger as a reward.

3rd Location – The Dancer Contract

For this contract, you’ll have to go the Palace of the Green Dome in the Round City’s Gardens to escort a mistreated Dancer named Yasmeen to safety.

Just a heads up, this will be a restricted area and it’ll filled with patrolling guards. For more details, read further into the guide.

Follow the quest marker to reach the destination, which will lead to the Palace itself.

After making your way inside the palace, there will be NPCs that you can interact with it for clues.

But ultimately, you can find Yasmeen upstairs. Climb up this wall and make your way to the second level of the building.

After making your way up, just head straight and use your Eagle Eye. There will only be only one glowing NPC inside, which is Yasmeen.

From there, you’ll just have to keep following her and get rid of guards along the way.

There will be a stop in this location as shown in the image below. Take care of the two guards and after that, Yasmeen will continue moving forward.

Just keep following her and the next stop will be in the gardens. There are lots of guards on this area. I recommend using your Eagle Eye to spot them more easily.

After getting rid of all the guards in the area, she will continue moving forward deeper into the gardens.

The next stop will be in this location shown in the image. Again, there will be lots of guards in this area.

Lastly, this will be final stop for the quest. Take care of all the guards to proceed. Afterwards, just keep following her.

And there you have it! She’ll stop in this location and the contract will be completed. As a reward, you’ll get the Rostam Dagger.
