The Living Lands in Avowed is full of opportunity as there is so much to discover. Not only are there quests to complete, but also interesting loots that you’ll need to complete your desired builds. The Unique Weapons and Armors will help a lot with this aspect.
Luckily, there are plenty of Unique Weapons and Armors to obtain in Avowed, so there is a lot of build variety. In this guide, we’ll show you the locations of all of them in the Dawnshore area, at the start of the game. Let’s get into it!
How To Get All Unique Weapons & Armors In Dawnshore
There are a total of 39 Unique Weapons and Armors that you can obtain in Dawnshore alone is Avowed – spread across 36 locations. Unique items are characterized by the fact that they have both normal Item Bonuses and a powerful Enchantment.
So, overall, you are able to get passive effects, stat increases, Attribute buffs, distinct behaviors and even new Abilities!
Keep in mind that some of these weapons and armors are missable – as they are connected to quest endings or dialogue options!

Location #1 – Wayfarer’s Gloves
Starting off, we’ll be going to Claviger’s Landing, which is the starting area of Dawnshore. Here, you’ll want to head to the Merchant icon.
You’ll see a couple of Merchants here, but you want to talk to Lynna the Merchant.
Lynna sells some really useful wares, which includes the Wayfarer’s Gloves. You can purchase them for 600 Copper Skeyts. The item bonuses and stats for the Armor are shown below.
Location #2 – Arcanist’s Boots
For the next item, you’ll want to head to the Lighthouse that can be found right next to Claviger’s Landing. When you arrive here, you want to go all the way to the top of the lighthouse.
Here, you’ll find a Chest which has the Arcanist’s Boots inside.
Below are the stats and item bonuses that this Unique Armor offers.
Location #3 – Vindictive Band
To get the Vindictive Band, you will need to complete the Cabin Fever side quest. This quest can be found in Claviger’s Landing by talking to Dehengen.
On completion, you will get the Vindictive Band as a reward.
Here are the effects that this Unique Ring has to offer.
Location #4 – Anexteli’s Grimoire
You can find the Anexteli’s Grimoire on the body of the pyromancer in Ivona’s Threshold. After crossing the bridge, head to the side and go around the cliff. You’ll find a skeleton with a fire banner, indicating he is the pyromancer.
Anexteli’s Grimoire will be lying next to him, ready to be picked up.
This Unique Grimoire offers a lot of effects, spells and more.
Location #5 – Steel Garrote Boots
Outside the Seaside Cavern, you should be able to find a camp. Inside the camp, there will be a body of an Aedyran Soldier next to a tent.
Loot the body and you’ll find this Unique Armor on him.

Location #6 – Unflinching Duty
To get the next Unique item, you will need to fight off the Dreamthrall Elder Brown Bear boss in Avowed. After defeating the boss, you should find a body in the arena.
The Unflinching Duty shield will be lying next to the body.

Location #7 – Boots Of The Bricklayer
Next, we’ll be making our way to the Northern Side of the Overgrown Frontier. Specifically, you want to head to the Pargrun Cache area, found after crossing a bridge. Here, you want to make your way to the indicated building.
To get here, you will need to go around and enter through a broken wall. You can then loot the chest inside and find the Boots of the Bricklayer inside.
These Unique Clothing boots offer some interesting item bonuses and stats.
Location #8 – Sheathed In Summer
You’ll be fighting off yet another boss for this Unique Dagger. To find the boss, make your way to the Godless Ruins near the Overgrown Frontier.
Here, you will need to fight and defeat Octav The Firebrand. Loot his body and you’ll find the weapon on him.
You can get the following unique effects and stats from this Weapon.
Location #9 – Seven Strivings
To get the Seven Strivings axe, make your way to The Falls. Here, you’ll come across another boss named Ralga. Kill the ogre and make your way to the back of the arena.
You should see the axe embedded into a body. Loot it and you’ll have it in your possession.
This axe offers the following unique effects and bonuses.
Location #10 – Wayfarer Boots
To get the Wayfarer’s Boots, you’ll need to head to Fellowship Harbor near Claviger’s Landing. You should be able to find a manhole here that leads into the sewers. The exact location of this manhole is indicated on the map below.
Once inside, head to the back of the sewers and you should see a Chest. The Wayfarer’s Boots will be inside.
Location #11 – Rathun Figurine
You can get the Rathun Figurine by visiting one of the Merchants in Shanty Town known simply as the Shantytown Merchant. You can purchase it from him for 750 Copper.
Below are the stat bonuses this Unique Trinket provides. We believe it can work well for a pyromancy build.
Location #12 – Enchanted Suolenet
You can get the Enchanted Suolenet by completing the Lost Suoles side quest in Shanty Town. Talk to Miteno and he will give you this Unique Amulet as a reward at the end of the quest.

Location #13 – Band Of Transcendent Suffering
Next, we’ll be heading to the River that can be found in Paradis next to the Administration District. You’ll need to dive into the river and go underwater.
Here, you should be able to find a small chest underwater. Loot it so that you can get the Band of Transcendent Suffering inside.
You’ll find that this Unique Ring offers the following stat bonuses.
Location #14 – The Hands Occult
To get The Hands Occult, start by making your way to the main entrance that leads into Paradis. As you enter inside, turn to the right and go down the alley.
At the end of the alley, you should come across a broken wall. Enter through the wall and there will be a chest inside. You can loot the chest to get The Hands Occult.
These Unique gloves offer the following item bonuses and effects.
Location #15 – Blackwing Gloves
Start by entering Paradis and making your way to the Aedyran Embassy building. Once you’re here, you’ll need to start parkouring your way up to the top balcony. You can do this via the scaffoldings and ladders on the side.
When you reach the balcony, you should see a bunch of boxes lying around. Here, there will be a Backpack that you can loot. Opening it will reveal Blackwing Gloves.
These Unique gloves offer some really handy Critical Hit and Damage bonuses.
Location #16 – Many Hued Doublet And Beothel’s Grimoire
You can actually get two Unique items in this next location. Head to the Market District in Paradis and make your way to the Merchant indicated. This is Merylin and you can buy both of these items from her.
The Many Hued Doublet costs 500 Copper and the Beothel’s Grimoire costs 450 Copper.

Location #17 – Night Mistress’ Favor
For this Unique Trinket, you will need to complete the A Lady Never Tells side quest. You can get this quest by talking to Giuliana in the Pearl District. She can be found in the Mermaid’s Den.
Upon completion, she will give you this trinket as a reward.

Location #18 – Wind And Wave
For Wind and Wave, you will actually need to complete the Captain Henqua’s Spoils treasure map. You can get this map from the same Lighthouse where you found the Arcanist’s Boots. Our captain henqua’s spoils treasure map solution guide has detailed instructions.
The solution for this map can be found by heading to the river at the Old Pargrun Wall. Dive into the water and enter the underwater cave. After ascending, you should see the Wind and Wave shield next to a chest.

Location #19 – Last Light Of Day
To get the Last Light of Day, you will need to defeat Sargamis in the Dawntreader quest line. Alternatively, you can also get it just by completing the quest as a reward.
However, defeating and looting his body will allow you to get it faster. Make sure to select the Attack dialogue option if you do want to kill him.
Either way you get it, here are the stats it has to offer.
Location #20 – Delver’s Caution
Similarly, if you want the Delver’s Caution Ring, you will need to complete the Dawntreader‘s side quest. Once you complete it, turn in the quest Caedmon or Ofrye. Doing so will give you the ring as a reward.
Below is what this Unique Ring has to offer in terms of stat boosts.
Location #21 – Drawn In Winter
To get Drawn In Winter, you’ll need to complete The Call Of The Past side mission. You can find this mission in the Watcher’s Mirror. At the end of the quest, a podium will emerge with the axe on it. Make sure to pick it up before you leave the area.

Location #22 – Wayfarer’s Ring
Near the Shrine to Woedica, you will come across a broken bridge. Cross this bridge and go up the hill in front. Eventually, you should be able to find a cave with two bears. Defeat the bears and look inside their cave.
Inside the cave, you’ll find a skeleton. It will have the Wayfarer’s Ring on it ready to loot.

Location #23 – Stelgaer’s Pride
To get Stelgaer’s Pride, you will need to complete the Intimidating Feline Codpiece treasure map. You can purchase this map from Lynna the Merchant in Claviger’s Landing. Our detailed intimidating feline codpiece treasure map solution guide can help out too!
After that, head to the location shown below. Walk up the gap and eventually you’ll come across a boarded up door. Break the boards and open the Chest inside. This will reveal the Unique Armor inside.

Location #24 – Arcanist’s Gambeson
Head to the Yellowband Camp that can be found North of the Southern Embrace. Here, you want to enter one of the buildings indicated. When you enter, look in the corner and you should see a chest.
Open the chest and this Unique Armor will be inside.

Location #25 – Steel Garrote Gauntlets
For this next one, you’ll be heading to the Militia Barracks entrance to Paradis. Just outside the barracks is a small camp. In a tiny cave near the camp, you should find a body with steel armor.
You’ll be able to loot the Steel Garrote Gauntlets from it.
You can get the following unique effects and stats from it.
Location #26 – Steel Garrote Medallion
Next, you’ll be heading to the Ruinous Cavern under Paradis. If you aren’t familiar where it is, the entrance to it is shown.
Once you enter the Ruinous Cavern, navigate to the back and make sure to check the corners. You’ll find an opening that takes you to what seems to be the bottom of a hole or well. A body of an Aedyrn Soldier will have the medallion on it, ready to be looted.

Location #27 – The Philosopher’s Riddle
For the next weapon, you’ll need to make your way to Castol’s Folly. Here, you’ll need to parkour up to the top of the indicated building until you reach an overgrown garden.
The Philosopher’s Riddle sword will be standing among the garden.

Location #28 – Arcanist’s Ring
On Castol’s Folly, you should be able to find some Smugglers. Inside their base, next to a cart, is a small chest.
Open the chest and you’ll be able to loot the Unique Ring inside.
You’ll now be able to enjoy the following stat boosts with it!
Location #29 – Fantastic Alembic
To get the Fantastic Alembic, you’ll need to do a particular objective during the Precious Light side mission. You can find this side mission in the Market District of Paradis by talking to Sapiento.
When you get the Luminous Adra from the Smugglers in Castol’s Folly, return the Adra to Sapiento. He’ll give you the trinket as a reward. Make sure to select the dialogue option indicated if you want to get the rewardl
This Unique Trinket offers the following effects for your character.
Location #30 – Caeroc’s Pride
Next up, you’ll want to get and complete the Bounty: Tempestuous Luandi mission. When you arrive at the objective area, make sure to kill him. After that, loot his body and the Caeroc’s Pride pistol will be on it.

Location #31 – Kithwarder
Speaking of bounty missions, you get a Unique Item too if you complete all of the Bounty Missions. When you have done so, return to Bounty Master Alrich. He will give you the Kithwarder as a reward when you’ve done them all!

Location #32 – Beetle’s Bulwark
Next up, you’ll need to make your way to Sanza’s Emporium located in Northern Paradis. Specifically, you want to head to the Merchant icon. Here, you will be be able to interact and purchase wares from Sanza himself.
You’ll be able to purchase the Beetle’s Bulwark for 450 Copper from him.

Location #33 – Disappointer And Black Wing Boots
Next, we’ll be showing you how you can purchase two Unique Items at once. This can be done by going to the secret Merchant in Northern Paradis. Head in the alley so you can go to the Merchant icon shown below.
Here, you’ll find Kerdhed “Cutty” Colen selling his wares at the back. You can purchase the Black Wing Boots for 1500 Copper and The Disappointer Pistol for 360 Copper.

Location #34 – White Key Cameo
Next, we’ll be heading to Claviger Eamund’s Estate in Northern Paradis. You get to go here anyway for the An Untimely End quest in Avowed. When you’re in the estate, you’ll need to make your way to the attic.
Inside the attic, you should find a chest. This Unique Amulet will be inside.

Location #35 – The Wayfarer’s Armor And The Long Touch
As before, you can again purchase two Unique Items from a Merchant. This time you’ll be heading to the Militia Headquarters in Northern Paradis. You should be able to see the merchant icon here as well on the map.
Interact with the Merchant inside to see the wares. You can buy The Wayfarer’s Armor for 500 Copper and The Long Touch bow for 432 Copper.

Location #36 – Blackwing Armor
The final Unique Item in Dawnbreak can be acquired during the An Untimely End quest. In this quest, you’ll end up meeting the Assassin Ygwulf. To get this Armor, you will need to kill him. For that, you must choose the Attack dialogue option.
Keep in mind that if you do not kill him, you will not be able to get this Armor as it is missable. After attacking and killing him in the boss fight, loot his corpse. You’ll end up finding the Blackwing Armor on him.
