Fighting these monsters can be very tricky. First of all, they will find you no matter where you are, and it’s better to know at least something about them.

Here we will go through the locations and tips on how to beat these Monsters in the Wrecks and inside Alien Ruins. Let’s get started.

Complete Monster’s Guide – Barotrauma

Before we get started, it is important to say that some of these monsters can get spawned in unique and random locations. They can even spawn in caves sometimes. So keep that in mind.

Husk

This is a parasitic creature that can infect you with a very deadly and contagious affliction.

Source: Ironic and Dead

It has 200HP, it does bite damage, bleeding, and the scariest – it applies the Husk infection. Attacks might also stun targets for about 0.5 seconds. If you become infected, it will start spreading around your body until you become deceased. Then your reanimated corpse will come to live and haunt the crewmates.

Leucocyte

This is a small green creature that spawns out of a cell organ in Infected Wrecks. They will continuously spawn and just try to get near you. They have an extremely fast respawn rate and can swarm you with their large numbers.

Source: Ironic and Dead

They can also explode next to you, and this does damage on range from 3 meters. It will clause burning damage 10, also stun for 2 seconds, and the scary – has a 50% chance of adding paralysis

They can be taken down easily with a Plasma Cutter.

Terminal Cell + Flesh Spike

This is a special monster that spawns specifically inside your submarine. They are spawned from a Flesh Spike. This will shoot itself inside your submarine injecting Terminal Cells inside of it.

Source: Ironic and Dead

The best way to deal with them is just to locate the sack under the Flesh Spike and take it down or hunt down the Thalamus Brain.

Flesh Gun

This is a specific gun, that seeks out submarines and shoots them down with their harpoons. It will catch it, and drag it towards the infected wreck.

Source: Ironic and Dead

Just go for the Thalamus Brain or the Flesh Gun ammo sacks under them. Or just move the guns hold on your submarine.

Thalamus Brain

This enemy can infect your submarine and unleash a whole lot of different enemies upon you. As mentioned above. Just look out for infected wrecks. You can tell them easily if they have Flesh Guns or Leucocytes near them.

Source: Ironic and Dead

Just go deep inside the wreck and find the brain itself. Use a Plasma Cutter, melee weapons, or explosives.

Swarm Feeder

These enemies are found inside Alien Ruins. The Swarm Feeder is actually a very small creature that moves incredibly fast. Very easy to miss them if not focused. They blend in the background like chameleons.

Source: Ironic and Dead

They have 10HP and the best way is just to have your eyes open, and single shoot them at a distance or use melee weapons.

Fractal Guardian

These are special monsters that are very fast and have a special harpoon attack that can fling you around like a rag doll.

Source: Ironic and Dead

They have 400HP which is a lot making them very tanky. That means be sure to have your fully automatic guns next to you with a whole lot of ammo at the ready. Do not take them on if you don’t have a good base armor or talents that give bonuses to HP or damage.

If they are low on health, they will go to Guardian Pods to regenerate. You will need an alien artifact and select the red button. This will make the Guardian get outside the Pod.

I hope this helped and made your way through these wrecks much easier. Good luck!
