There’s a new update in Genshin Impact and it’s adding more than just your usual content, there’s a whole new quest line involving a whole new card game in the game! That’s right, there’s now a card game inside Genshin Impact, just like how The Witcher is really just a card game with extra steps with Gwent. The new update adds the quest Battlefield of Dice, Cats and Cards, the quest that introduces you into the new card game and in this guide we’ll show you how to do the quest so that you can start collecting those cards!
Genshin Impact: Battlefield of Dice Cats and Cards
Like every event in Genshin Impact, you can check the event in the event tab, from there you can select to focus on the quest which will send you to the Mondstadt Alchemy store where you’ll see a small cutscene with Sucrose.
From there you’ll start the quest and will go down the path of collecting cards, playing with other characters in the game and so on!
Next you’ll be pointed to go to the Cat’s Tail card shop where you’ll do most of the stuff related to the quest. Here you’ll get new cards, get rewards from leveling up in the card game and so on. For now they’ll teach you how to play the game with a practice game with Diona.
After the practice game with Diona, Diluc will appear out of nowhere with no one noticing it as always. He will then challenge you to play the card game as well.
After that you get more cutscenes as well as a cutscene involving everyone’s favorite girl with a talking bird, Fischl. Of course she’s into this card game as well, she looks like that kid that was the only one who knows how to play Pokemon by heart back in grade school despite the others just wanting to collect the cool looking cards.
After a match with Fischl another cutscene will play and you’ve finished the starter quest of this event!
