First of all, whatever you’re doing when it comes to gaming you will want to have your Game Mode ON. You can find it very easily by simply typing in Game Mode in the Windows Search Bar. Open up the first option that will appear.

Inside the window, you will just want to select the ON on the Game Mode. This will make it so that if you’re running gaming applications your PC focuses all of its power on them. Some background apps will be frozen and you can get much better performance.

While you are at it, you will want to be turning off the Xbox Game Bar as it can decrease your overall performance of games too. To find it, you will just write in Xbox Game Bar in your Windows Search Bar and just make it on OFF.

Also, make sure that the Background and Recorded Audio is OFF too since it can help as well.

This is especially very good if you are playing on a laptop, but works well even on a Desktop Computer. You will write in the Power Plan inside the Windows Search bar and open it up.

You are going to select the first option or the one called High Performance. This will also speed up the performance and make your PC handle any type of game, including Dark and Darker, to work faster.

In-Game Graphics Settings

This is how your in-game settings should be looking like when you open up Dark and Darker. If you want to be going full on the performance and maximizing your FPS then you should put everything on LOW from the first options.

  • Texture Quality – Low
  • Post Processing – Low
  • Visual Effects – Low
  • Anti-Aliasing – Low
  • Render Scale – very low number

If however you just have a minor issue and want to maximize your FPS because the game isn’t well-balanced, we recommend that you stick to how the settings are shown in the picture above.

You will always want to have the Frame Limit set to more than 100 to be getting the most amount of FPS. And that’s all that there is to it!

We hope that this guide has helped you out on having the best PC settings for Dark and Darker. A big thank you to Kephren from YouTune for all his amazing information and details.
