Blasphemous 2: All Flask Upgrade Locations | Uses & Potency

In Blasphemous 2, there are a lot of different things you can find in the game that can help you a lot. One of those things are items that can upgrade your flask. They’re probably one of the most important things you’ll want to look for. Everyone wants to have more flasks or stronger ones, so it’s time to find the things you need to upgrade them.

In this guide, we’ll show you where to find the items you need to upgrade your flask. We’ll also show you where you can actually do the upgrading. Now, let’s see what you need to find to do this.

All Flask Upgrade Locations | Uses & Potency

In Blasphemous 2, you can find certain items called Empty Receptacles or Silver-Clad Crystal Shards. These items are found all over the map and it’s generally great to try and get them.

That’s because these items upgrade your flask from the potency of the flasks to how many you have. To do this, you’ll first need to find them through and know where to do the upgrade!

Where To Upgrade Flasks

Before you go hunting for these items, you’ll want to know where to go first to use these items. To upgrade your Flask, you’ll need to go to the City of the Blessed Name area which is the central area of the map.

From there, you’ll want to go to the center, go right then down. You can use the image below for reference.

When you get to that area, you’ll find a doorway that you can go inside it. To do so, just walk in front of the doorway and press the up key in both PC and consoles.

Once you get inside, you’ll have to move to the right where yo can find the NPC. This NPC you can talk to and hand over either a Receptacle or a Crystal Shard. The Receptacle will increase the number of flasks you have while the Crystal Shards will increase the power or amount of healing.

Now that you know where to use these items, it’s time to show you where to find them. Most of these items are hidden throughout the map. To add to that, some of them require you to do some fights or activate certain switches or events. So, let’s see where you can find them.

Empty Receptacle #1

The first Empty Receptacle is in the Profundo Lamento area just below the City of the Blessed Name. From the left of the area where the lift is, go to the right, then up then right again.

Once you get to that room, you’ll see the item at the end of the room. Be ready since once you activate that item, a fight will start. And you’ll need to finish the fight to get the Empty Receptacle.

Empty Receptacle #2

The second Empty Receptacle can be found in the Elevated Temples above the City of the Blessed Name. In the lower right of the area is a tall tower that you’ll need to do some wall jumps to get up.

At the top of the tower is the Empty Receptacle. Unlike the previous one, this doesn’t have any fight with it, you’ll just need to take it.

Empty Receptacle #3

The third Empty Receptacle is in one of the left-most areas in the map in the Severed Tower. The map below shows you where the item is, but you’ll need to hit a switch first which is below it. You can access both easily by just going up or down. You’ll need to go left and around these places.

The first step is to get to the area shown below and hit this lamp with any attack. This will let you go to the area where the item is. Now, go back to the right, go down, left to the other side, up and then right and right again.

This will lead you to a room shown below. Like the first Empty Receptacle, this one has a fight as well so make sure to finish it to get the item.

Empty Receptacle #4

For the last Empty Receptacle in the list, I regret to inform you that it’s not as easy as the rest. Receptacles and Silver Shards aren’t the only collectibles in the game.

One of the other collectibles are these sick Daughters. You find them around the map and interact with the candle next to their beds, this will make them disappear.

There’s 5 of them in total but for the Receptacle you’ll only need to find 3 of them.

Once you find 3 of the daughters, you’ll want to go to the bottom right of the Streets of Wake. There, you’ll find a room with a lot of grieving nuns.

Interact with the person on the bed and you’ll be sent to a gauntlet-style arena. With 3 daughters found, you’ll have 3 levels, finish all 3 and you’ll get the Empty Receptacle at the end.

Silver-Clad Crystal Shard #1

Now, we’ll be looking for the Crystal Shards. Luckily, all of them can be found without looking for other collectibles. The first one is in the Palace of Embroideries. You’ll need to go to the upper right then swing left until you get to the room.

That room will have the Crystal Shards at the end. Do mind the falling chandeliers, they can hurt. Like the Empty Receptacles though, you’ll need to do a fight to get this item.

Silver-Clad Crystal Shard #2

The next one is just in the middle of the map in the City of the Blessed Name. In the left side of the city, on top of a tower, is the room you’ll want to go to.

You’ll need to go jump up some platforms like the roofs of the buildings on the left side to get to this area.

Once you’re inside, you’ll find the Crystal Shard in the middle of the room. Unlike the other Crystal Shards, this one doesn’t trigger a fight; you’ll just pick it up.

Silver-Clad Crystal Shard #3

The last Crystal Shard in the list needs a bit of jumping, since you’ll be on the upper right part of the Elevated Temples.

Once you get to the large open area to the right, you’ll need to jump up and try to jump using the path shown below. You’ll need to jump towards the left.

At the end of the path, is a small platform that has the last Crystal Shard in the list. Good luck with the jump path!
