Starting out with a relatively short health bar in Blasphemous 2 teaches you a very important lesson. A lesson you’ll have to learn yourself whenever you decide to get greedy and try to score an extra hit instead of moving to safety.

That extra hit or greed can sometimes win you battles. But that’s by chance, of course, and winners should be more than open when it comes to taking chances. A great way to improve those chances is to find health upgrades. In this guide, we’ll show you every health upgrade you can find in all of Cvstodia!

All Health Upgrade Locations | All Ornate Chalices

The items will give you your health upgrade are the Ornate Chalices, and there’s a total of five scattered around the playable area.

Collect all five chalices and you can then turn them in over at the City of the Blessed Name. Follow the blood drop icon and interact with the NPC in the room to add a new section to your health bar.

One of the Ornate Chalices require you to find all five daughters first for a battle challenge. That’s something we already have a guide for if you’re also trying to get the House of Grief and Hatred Trophy. Here are the locations where you can find the other Ornate Chalices:

  • Sacred Entombments
  • Palace of the Embroideries
  • Sunken Cathedral
  • Streets of Wakes
  • Forlorn Patio

Sacred Entombments

The easiest health upgrade you can get is waiting for you at the bottom of Sacred Entombments. Use the shrine to the left and descend into the sandpit.

The chalice will be right in the middle along with a handy surprise that will try to kill you if you don’t move fast enough.

Palace of the Embroideries

The next chalice will be on the upper left room of the Palace of the Embroideries. It’s at the very corner of the area, sitting on top of a wooden table with a red glow.

Once you pick up the item, a fight will break out. Survive and take the item back to the City of the Blessed Name to get your health upgrade.

Sunken Cathedral

Stick to the right side of the Sunken Cathedral and drop down one level. Walk past the ladder and through the door to get to the room where the Ornate Chalice is. Pick it up and the door behind you will lock itself, signaling another battle challenge.

Forlorn Patio

This one can be easily purchased from the Merchant in the Forlorn Patio region. You can purchase the chalice for 6000 Tears of Atonement.

Streets of Wakes

To get the last chalice, you need to find all five bedridden daughters first. After finding one of the daughters, head over to this room next to go through a battle challenge.

Do this and you’ll be rewarded an Ornate Chalice after you clear the fifth challenge.

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
