Conan Exiles is a survival video game that’s been around since 2018, and it still has continued support from the developers. While you don’t get to play as the main man himself, Conan the Barbarian, you get to play as your very own custom character within the universe of the popular franchise. In the game, there are so many things you can do that can take up your time, which is the goal of survivor games. In this guide, we’ll show you how the horse saddles in Conan Exiles work and how each saddle works differently.

Horse Saddles Beginners Guide 2022 – Conan Exiles

Before you use a saddle, you have to make one. However, there are different types of saddles you can make in the game as you level up your character. To do this, access your menu and go to Feats. Under this section, scroll until you reach the Armor tab and scroll down until you see the Novice Saddle-maker. This, and the ones under it, are all Saddle-makers that you can use to create different kinds of saddles.

We’ll provide a table to show you what each Saddle-maker produces. Take note that DLC will not be included in this, as we do not want to include content that not many players may have.

Each saddle has their own stats and purposes. Some have stats that the others don’t, and some have different purposes that the others don’t share. For the Warhorse Saddle Light, the saddle has 53 Armor and Sprinting Endurance Cost 20. The main purpose of this saddle is for, well, war. If you charge into enemy territory or into the frontlines, you’re going to get hit a lot. The saddle essentially takes the hits for you so you don’t get knocked off your horse.

The Warhorse Saddle Medium has the same Armor and Sprinting Endurance Cost as the Light version, but the Medium has an Endurance Damage Multiplier of 0.2. It functions the same as the Light, meaning it takes attacks for you so you don’t get kicked off the horse.

The Warhorse Saddle Heavy is the best version that you want. The Armor is larger compared to the Medium and Light, being at 85. It has the same Sprinting Endurance Cost, but the Endurance Damage Multiplier is 0.6. This is the best saddle to get if you don’t want to attack on the ground and want to charge in fast. With this, enemies will have a much harder time knocking you off your horse.

The Kordavan Tack and Saddle was once a reward for a community challenge, but soon accessible to the players who were not able to participate when the event was live. This saddle has an armor of 85, Sprinting Endurance Cost of 15, and Endurance Damage Multiplier of 0.3. It’s not better than the Warhorse Saddle Heavy, but this saddle is good for maneuverability.

The Aquilonian Scout Saddle is good for, like its name suggests, scouting. This saddle makes the horse run much farther than other saddles, and it can make turns with ease. It has the most speed compared to the other saddles, but it’s not very good for war. The saddle has 85 Armor, Sprinting Endurance Cost of 15, and Endurance Damage Multiplier of 0.3, just like the Kordavan Tack and Saddle.

Last is the Savage Cavalry Saddle. From its design alone, you can tell that this saddle is for scaring enemies. This saddle, however, has a different function. Despite its looks, this saddle is for getting out of dire situations quick. The saddle allows the horse to achieve max acceleration quickly and thus, has the fastest speed out of the other saddles

The drawback though is that the speed doesn’t maintain for very long, thus why this saddle is designed for quick escapes. The stats of the saddle consists of 53 Armor, 23 Sprinting Endurance Cost, and 0.4 Endurance Damage Multiplier.

Elijah Hernandez is someone that loves video games since he was little. It didn't matter to him if people didn't like a video game. If it was fun, that was all that mattered to him. He's also a huge fan of superhero media like Marvel and DC, so he's practically played games like Spider-Man and the Batman Arkham games. He's also into multiplayer games that strike his fancy, specifically games like Call of Duty and Fortnite. Most especially Fortnite since he can play as different Marvel and DC characters in a battle royale against other famous and iconic characters.
