Core Keeper throws you in for a journey and an adventure that allows you to craft, fish, and more. One of the challenges in the game is the bosses. This guide will show you how you can summon and defeat Malugaz the Corrupted.
Summon and Defeat Malugaz The Corrupted – Core Keeper
A boss is a different mob in Core Keeper that has unique move sets and a lot of health.
- Create The Skull
The Malugaz is a boss that you cannot typically spawn. Before you can spawn the Malugaz, you need to collect at least 10 Crystal Skull Shards.
Go to the Forgotten Ruins to get Crystal Skull Shards from defeating Fireball Wizard enemies. Once you have 10 of them, equip it on your Hotbar and then right-click to create a Skull, which is necessary for summoning Malugaz. - Find The Lair
Note that the map of Core Keeper changes so you will need to explore the Forgotten Ruins to find the lair of Malugaz. You can see what it looks like from the map below.
Go to the summoning rune on the floor and place the skull to summon Malugaz.
NOTE: Before you summon him, make sure you are stocked and well-prepared with potions and food.
- Commence Battle!
In the first phase of the boss fight, he will use ranged attacks. Use a shield for some damage blocking and when he teleports, deal some melee damage during the delay in between his attacks.
When you defeat the first phase, you will go to the second phase where he will use melee attacks. Change to ranged weapons this time and focus on running around the area, avoiding the punches, and shooting him from afar.
His second phase has a lot more health, but as long as you have a lot of potions and stay patient in landing attacks, you should emerge victoriously.
