There are a variety of Missions and Side Missions that players can take part in as part of the new Event in Creatures of Sonaria. One of these is helping Rebus find his Notebook and the multiple Notes inside. This is part of the Urzuk Side Mission.
In this guide, we will show you how to complete all objectives related to Rebus. This includes locating his Notebook, the multiple Note pages and where the Dropoff Location for all of these Notes are. In this way, you will get halfway closer to completing the Urzuk Side Mission.
Rebus Guide On Dropoff & Note Locations
The Rebus Objectives will have you exploring the entire map. The Notes Objective in particular can be very tedious, especially since the spawn points can be random. But we have provided you with a strategy that will help you complete the Rebus missions as quickly as possible.
Rebus Notebook
The first thing we need to do is locate the Rebus Notebook. This is one of the objectives for the Urzuk Side Mission.
The Rebus Notebook can be located in the center of the map, where the Central Rockfaces are. It is inside a cave that is built into the cliff. The exact location has been marked in the map below.
Enter this cave and you should see the giant Notebook lying inside it. Press E to Inspect and pick it up to finish the Rebus Notebook Objective.
Deliver Rebus’ Notes
Now the next thing on the agenda is looking for the Notes. Specifically, you will need to look for 10 Notes which is an Objective for the Urzuk Side Mission.
The process for finding the Notes is similar to locating Pearls for Eigion’s Quest. Check out this guide that shows the Pearls Locations Map for the Eigion’s Quest.
The Notes basically spawn in random areas around the whole World. To make matters worse, only one Note spawns at a time.
So, you will need to find this Note, and submit it to the Dropoff location before another spawns in.
As you can see, this is a very tedious task. To simplify this, we will provide you with a Map that shows the most common places where Notes spawn on the map.
The Green dots are locations underwater while the Red dots are locations on land.
A great strategy to speed up this process is by flying a semi-aquatic creature like Euvias. This is because you can move around quickly and efficiently with it, while also setting custom spawn points with the Burrow ability.
This way, you can set a spawn to the Dropoff Point, which we will show you later on in the guide.
Start by flying around the Flower Cove area as this is where most of the Notes spawn. Keep flying upwards and looking for the Notes.
They are large and glow so they will not be difficult to spot. Once you have looked through the Flower Cove, move onto the Volcano Island.
Keep moving around the map like this in an anticlockwise direction until you have come in a loop back to the Flower Cove.
If you did not find the Note, this means that it spawned underwater. Looking for Notes underwater is very tedious due to restricted movement and visibility.
Instead of going underwater, you can simply restart and boot the game back up. This will reset the Note’s spawn and you can repeat this strategy until you find a Note. You don’t have to worry about other players stealing your Notes as the spawns are all client-sided.
So, all Notes are specific to the player and cannot be taken by someone else.
Once you have a Note, you will need to drop it off as the Rebus Dropoff Point.
Rebus Note Dropoff Location
The Dropoff point for the Rebus Notes is a shrine right where the Mountain biome of the game begins. We have shown you the exact location of this shrine in the map below.
The Shrine is very prominent as it is right next to a circular shape built into the mountains. On the Shrine, there are Candles built with a counter showing the remaining Notes to be submitted.
Go to this Shrine and hold the E key to Deliver the Note that you collected. Now, you can go through the same process you followed before to find another Note.
Keep doing this until you have collected all the Notes to Collect all 10 Notes!
That’s everything you need to know about completing the Rebus objectives in Creatures of Sonaria. This brings you so much closer to completing the Side Mission. The process of finding Notes is incredibly grindy and does depend on your luck due to random spawn points. Keep trying and eventually you’ll succeed!
