Disney Dreamlight Valley is full of different things to do. You will go fishing, then scuba diving, and you might even dig up some ground. You will sometimes even go into deep dungeons. Disney Dreamlight Valley – Crystal Mystery Quest Guide
The Crystal Mystery quest is basically you and Merlin going on an adventure together. You will be deep inside the forest and you’ll need to be exploring around and look out for every meter of this forest.
Merlin will be looking for a dark crystal that is hidden somewhere throughout the forest. To get to the dark crystal you will need need to look for this black stone that is on the very edge of the forest. Then you will find a sparkling ground located next to it. Take out your shovel and start digging.
Then you will go to Merlin and give him this dark crystal that you have found. He will need to investigate it.
If it isn’t this crystal in your game you will want to go around the stone and look for the other ground location that can be dug. It is literally right next to the black stone on the other side of it.
Go to Merlin and interact with him like this.
The next objective of what you’ll need to get is the 5 Night Shards. They are items that you can find underground. You just have to dig for them with your shovel equipped and you’ll have them in no time.
This is how the Night Shards look while on the ground. They are literally everywhere.
Then once you have them go back to Merlin. The next step is to go to a crafting station. It can be any crafting station in the game. While in here, select the Purified Night Shard to craft.
Now go back to Merlin and he will instruct you to give it to anyone in the village. This can be of your preference really. Just look for a random NPC and you can hand it to them.
You can simply give it to the companion following you around to save some time.
