Cyber Rebellion is very much similar to miHoYo’s Honkai: Star Rail, but it’s actually a fantastic game that delves more into the cyberpunk aesthetic than the space-esque theme Star Rail is going for.
With Cyber Rebellion being a new game, of course people are going to be jumping into this game and making not so good decisions that they will eventually learn not to do again, as well as not understanding how certain things work in the game. In this guide, I will show you a complete beginner’s guide on how the game works, as well as give you some codes to give you a head start.
Complete Beginners Guide & Codes
To start off, I’m going to give you some gift codes that will help give you a boost when first starting the game.
However, I have to let you know right now that in order to input these gift codes, you will first need to reach level 20 on your account. If you have not reached level 20 yet, then you won’t be able to input these codes.
But assuming you already are level 20, here are some of the gift codes you can use right now:
- CYBERFUTURE – 10x Tesseracts
- CR777 – 2x Tesseracts and 20k Secured Coins
- CRSSS7 – 60x Neurocons
- CRCCC7 – Free Assault Skill Code V20
- CRLLL7 – Keepsake: Smiling Mask
- CRRRR7 – 10 Tesseracts
Now that you have the gift codes, let’s talk about the game and how it works.
Combat
The combat for Cyber Rebellion is turn based, meaning that you will have a party of characters attacking another party full of enemies.
Each character will take turns attacking, all of which are done through basic attacks. However, when you attack enemies with basic attacks, your Tactical Points (TP) will be filled more and more.
The Tactical Points are important to remember as this is how you will be able to utilize your skills, which come in the form of cards. Remember that you can use Tactical Points at any point, regardless if it’s full or not, to attack your enemies with skill cards.
Speaking of skill cards, depending on what characters you have in your party, the skill cards will be different.
But one thing is for sure: the skill cards will have the total amount of Tactical Points it needs to use at the top left corner.
Some will have 3, some will have 2, others will have 1. Remember to manage your Tactical Points well, as you will need them if you need to do a skill.
You also have Ultimate Cards as well, which are powerful cards that can be used by a specific character.
As usual, they cost Tactical Points, but what you don’t know is that you can use your Tactical Points to strengthen the power of these cards, making them more much efficient in what they are going to do.
After winning every battle, you will get a victory screen that shows the XP you have obtained and the rewards you get from completing a battle. Your commander will level up depending if the XP you obtained is enough, as well as your characters.
How To Get Characters
Like all gacha games, you will be summoning characters to add to your party. If this is your first time playing a gacha game, then let me tell you how this works. When summoning characters, you will have to use premium currency.
In the case of Cyber Rebellion, you will be using Tesseracts. Using 1 Tesseract will summon 1 character and using 10 Tesseracts will summon 10 characters.
I recommend waiting until you have 10 Tesseracts to summon characters. While there is no difference in summoning one at a time and ten at once, it is much better to just wait as it will give you more characters instead of just summoning one at a time.
There is also a chance percentage whenever you want to summon a character. Here is the percentage chance for each tier:
- SS Characters – 2.800% Chance
- S Characters – 11.200% Chance
- A Characters – 43% Chance
- B Characters – 43% Chance
As you can tell, SS characters have the smallest chance to summon. It is understandable, as they are the most powerful characters in the game. However, if you summon 59 characters, you will eventually get an SS character on your 60th summon.
If you run out of Tesseracts, you can get more by exchanging the premium currency of the game. Be warned, as each Tesseract will cost 200. So if you want to get another 10, you will have to cough up 2000 gems.
How To Upgrade Your Characters
Earlier, we touched on how characters level up in the game. While you can level up your characters by simply playing the game, you can also level them up by giving them TacData as a way to boost your characters level without having to enter combat. Bear in mind that you cannot level up past a certain level.
Here are some of the other character progression systems you need to take note of:
- Breakthrough – At a certain level, your character will stop leveling up. That’s because you will need to perform a Breakthrough on them. Here, you will use resources you have accumulated to push the limits of your character and increase the level cap, allowing them to level up more.
- Skill Upgrades – This is important, as skills do not improve when a character levels up. In order to actually improve a characters skill, you will need to invest resources into a characters skill and upgrade it to the level you desire, increasing the effect and damage of the skill.
- Star Rank – While characters are separated by character tiers, you can improve a characters efficiency by also raising their Star Rank. Increasing your Star Rank gives you more abilities to use and overall increases the stats of a character.
- Implant Advancements – This is essentially the gear system of the game. If you want to improve characters stats and give them specific perks, you will have to equip implants on your characters.
That’s all you need to know about Cyber Rebellion and how it plays. Did this beginner’s guide help you understand how the game works? Let us know in the comments below.
