You’ve probably already seen what Dead Island 2 has to offer at this point. Yup that’s right, it’s locked containers and vehicles that have no way of being opened conventionally in-game. We’re talking about the Cable Guy’s Van that’s parked next to the back of the Goat Pen.

If this was a different game then you could’ve simply smashed the window and worked your way to the back. However, this is the City of Angels, not the city of manual labor. So crawling through the back of the van simply won’t work. There’s still a way to unlock the Cable Van Truck, all you have to do is read the guide and find the owner in no particular order. It’d be better if you did the former though!

Cable Guy’s Van Key Location

To find the Cable Guy’s Van, you need to go to the front of the Goat Pen. That’s the house located south of the Curtis’ Mansion along Alpine Drive. The zombie carrying the keys to the van is called the Cable Guy Zombie. You have to visit Beverly Hills first for the cable guy to spawn in however. The trunk will stay locked until you progress further into the game.

To find the Cable Guy, you can head for his van and face directly south going back to Emma’s Mansion. The special zombie can be found in the middle of Alpine Road near the Curtis House driveway.

If the Cable Guy gives you anymore trouble by making you walk a longer distance then simply put him down as he’s just a walker. The easiest zombie you can deal with, aside from the shambler.

Pick up the Cable Guy’s Van Key and run all the way back to the van. It’s on the same road and is parked outside of the Goat Pen.

The Electrocutor Tire Iron is a good weapon to have around as a spare, and an excellent weapon if you enjoy a good close-up! By the way, the streamer house is literally right next to this van, maybe they have something that they don’t need worth checking out?

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
