When a zombie outbreak starts, no place is safe from the zombies. Schools, hospitals, malls, and even news buildings, everywhere get overrun, as the zombies don’t stop until they multiply by infecting other people.
But when there are people who survive, they try to visit places like the news buildings in order to gather supplies, which is what we can do in Dead Island 2. In this guide, we will be showing you how to unlock the Newsroom Hard-Case.

Newsroom Hard-Case Key Location
After completing the Scooped side quest, you will then need to go back into the building to look for the key.
In the hallways of the building, there should be an NPC named Talk Show Guest. This big fella will have the key in him, and he will spit out fire if you get too close.
A good way to deal with him is by using ranged weapons like guns. Once he’s done, you can then pick up the key.
Once you have the key, head to the newsroom and you will find the hard-case between these three chairs.
