Video game difficulty is always a sensitive topic in the gaming industry. If you complain about a game being too difficult, you either get bombarded with terms like “skill issue”, “get good” or any other phrase that is usually meant to belittle you and your inability to play a game on a hard difficulty.

I personally only play games that I like on harder difficulty because I enjoy being challenged (only when I have the time). If you love Destiny 2, then you should try playing the new Lightfall campaign on the hardest difficulty. Here’s how.

How To Start The Lightfall Campaign On Legendary / Classic Difficulty – Destiny 2

How to Select Difficulty

When you first start the game, you will have to select the first mission to start the campaign. When you do, you will be greeted with this screen. This is the difficulty selection screen, and you will only have two options: Be Brave or Become Legend.

Be Brave is the classic Destiny 2 experience. It is essentially the “normal” difficulty of Destiny 2. You will face enemies that will be equal to you or just a little bit stronger. This is perfect if you are just starting Destiny 2, or you just want to play normally.

On the other hand, Become Legend will give you a greater challenge that Be Brave cannot give you. While Be Brave will hold your hand as you fight, Become Legend will throw you to the wolves and let them eat you. Enemies hit harder and they take more bullets to kill.

If you do select Become Legend, you will be rewarded with the following after completing the Lightfall campaign:

  • Exotic Armor
  • Gear Bundle (1770 Power)
  • 8x Upgrade Modules
  • 300x Strand Meditations

Be Brave does not grant you any reward for completing the Lightfall campaign, which is a bummer. But if you love having to actually fight for your life in Destiny 2, then you will be rewarded after completing Become Legend.

Elijah Hernandez is someone that loves video games since he was little. It didn't matter to him if people didn't like a video game. If it was fun, that was all that mattered to him. He's also a huge fan of superhero media like Marvel and DC, so he's practically played games like Spider-Man and the Batman Arkham games. He's also into multiplayer games that strike his fancy, specifically games like Call of Duty and Fortnite. Most especially Fortnite since he can play as different Marvel and DC characters in a battle royale against other famous and iconic characters.
