With the start of a new season just beyond the horizon, players are either rushing to finish all of Season 17’s content, or are now prepping to get ready for the start of a new season. If you’re one of those players who have completed everything in the current season, then you’re now going to have to get ready for the next season. In this Season 18 Prep guide, we’ll show you what you need to do in order to get ready for the next season. You can never be too prepared for what comes next, especially with a game like Destiny 2.

Season 18 Prep Guide – Destiny 2

Before the start of every new season, you need to make sure your inventory has space. Whether it’s your weapons, gear, or consumables, you got to have some space in every new season. Anything that can only be spent on this season, spend it now. If you don’t really have use for it, put it in the vault. If your weapons aren’t that great, dismantle it or put it in the vault again.

Also, take advantage of the double Nightfall rewards. This will be the last double Nightfall rewards until the start of the new season. Reason for why you need to absolutely do this is because of the rewards, obviously. With the start of a new season, there will be new gear to use that might interest you, and you’ll need Enhancement Cores or Enhancement Prisms to fully upgrade it.

This is the perfect place to farm those resources. But, there’s a larger chance of getting more of these resources if you have the Lesser Core Harvest Ghost mod. This rewards the player with Enhancement Cores if they defeat bosses in Vanguard playlist strikes or Nightfalls. The Greater Core Harvest mod does the same, but for Enhancement Prisms.

Be sure to earn as much resources as you can, preferably maxed out. This is so you can avoid having to do that early season grind. Taking advantage of the double Nightfall rewards guarantees you avoiding that problem when starting a new season.

Destiny 2's Arc Week Sounds Great, Permanent Subclass Buffs, Exotic Catalysts And More

Since Season 18 will introduce Arc 3.0, we will have to get a ton of Arc weapons, as well as focusing on building an Arc build for all of your Guardians. No doubt that Season 18 will feature a plethora of Arc weapons, gear, and perks that all Guardians will be using to build their own Arc build. However, it’s best to start now to build your Arc build. This will help you get ahead of the game when the season starts.

Make sure to use Exotic gear that focuses on Arc. These are important as Exotic pieces will take one slot away from your weapon and gear slots. You cannot put any other Exotic gear piece anywhere else, which will limit your choices. You will have to really use your brain to figure out which is the best way to play.

Since Season 18 will introduce the Arc 3.0 update, players will no doubt be using Arc in the first few weeks or so when playing. With that in mind, it is advisable to have some perks that combat against Arc while also having perks that increase the effectiveness of Arc. That way, you can take punishment from Arc attacks while still dealing a ton of Arc damage yourself.

Another thing to remember is to always have fun and take your time when starting the new Season. Most players rush to finish all of the challenges and Season Pass rewards that they forget that they have plenty of time to finish the Season. Enjoy the game and play, no need to rush.
