Looter shooters have always been a great genre in video games, there’s something thrilling about getting new and better weapons, upgrading them and looking at those stat numbers go higher and higher. Looter shooter games like Destiny 2 often have different weapons and gear that can complement a variety of playstyles, and with each new update these playstyles often change and adapt. One of the more recent updates in Destiny 2 changed the stats of a certain weapon, making it a viable addition to both PVP and PVE arsenals of any player. In this guide we’ll show you what that weapon is and what the best rolls for that weapon are.
Yesteryear God Roll Guide | The Best Rolls For PVE & PVP | Destiny 2
The weapon in question is the Pulse Rifle called Yesteryear, an Adaptive Frame 390 RPM Pulse rifle. You can get this weapon through gambit rewards and ranking up the Drifter. The new update in Destiny 2 buffed this weapon making it a now viable weapon for both PVE and PVP. Let’s go through the different perks you should get for both PVP and PVE.
PVE Perks:
- Column 1
- Arrowhead Break – +30 Recoil Direction, +10 to Handling, a must for this high recoil gun.
- Column 2
- Ricochet Rounds – +10 Stability and +5 range, makes the weapon more consistent.
- Flared Magwell – +15 Reload Speed and +5 to Stability, if you want more reload speed.
- Column 3
- Subsistence – Refreshes your magazine per kill, pairs well with rampage.
- Ambitious Assassin – More magazing capacity per rapid kill, not as great as subsistance since you proc this when reloading instead of getting kills.
- Outlaw – If you just want reload speed this perk is great for you.
- Perpetual Motion – If you like to keep moving this one is also great for this weapon.
- Column 4
- Rampage – The more you kill in rapid succession the better your damage is, this perk is the best for this weapon since you’ll mostly be using this weapon to kill adds.
- Golden Tricorn – Another great pick for a perk, although getting melee kills might not always be possible since this is a pulse rifle that you’ll use usually in medium range.
- Desperado – Reloading within 6 seconds of a precision kill will increase your rate of fire, another great perk if you don’t want the two above.
- Dragonfly – This is a great perk to have if you’re using a void subclass due to the elemental explosions.
- Masterwork: Stability
- Mod: Counterbalance
PVP Perks:
- Column 1
- Arrowhead Break: Still a needed perk even in PVP because of the recoil of the gun.
- Column 2
- Ricochet Rounds – A much needed stability buff to get those shots on target.
- Column 3
- Perpetual Motion – You move a lot while in PVP making this a great perk to have.
- Outlaw – If you want to maximize reload speed get this one.
- Column 4
- Golden Tricorn – The best perk to have on this gun since if you can proc that 50% damage bonus you can 2 burst any guardian at any Resilience level.
- Rampage – Is another great perk if you can’t get Golden Tricorn.
- Multikill Clip – Same with Rampage, bonus damage when you reload after a kill.
- Desperado – Another perk to keep in mind, this perk works well with this gun, a rarity since the Messenger is the only other gun that works well with this.
- Masterwork: Stability
- Mod: Counterbalance
