In Devas of Creation, Grulkar is one of the toughest early-game bosses in the game. If you were to ask me, I’d say this boss is ridiculously strong—like, seriously, one of the most annoying things you’ll encounter in the early game, and it might take you a long time before you figure out how to beat him. But don’t worry, I’ve went through the painful process for you, and I’m going to walk you through a detailed guide with tips and tricks on how to take him down.
How To Beat Grulkar Guide
First off, you’ll want to get Grulkar away from the minions. Lure him towards a wall, and from there, the fight should be more manageable. Now, here’s the thing—you can use any weapon, but a ranged weapon like a bow or staff is ideal for this fight. The key is to parry the poison attacks, but remember, you cannot parry the fireballs! You can attack during the boss’s healing phase, so make sure to take advantage of that.
While practicing this method, I’ve actually died a lot of times but that’s part of the process. I experimented with different strategies, like using armor or trying different weapons. Ultimately, I found success using a starter bow, which worked great despite not being the most powerful option.
The fight revolves around parrying, so practice timing your parries. After a successful parry, you have about two seconds to land your hits. If you’re using a Greatsword, you’ll likely only get one hit in, but with a dagger, you might manage two. Just be careful not to overextend, as the hit delay on daggers can leave you vulnerable.
If you’re struggling, make sure to clear out the minions first. They can be lethal, especially if they gang up on you. Also, keep some healing pots on deck, just in case things get dicey. If you find yourself missing too many parries, consider leveling up a bit more. For that, farming the mushroom dudes can get you to level 15 pretty quickly.
