How To Get A Mount & Free Mount
There are various methods to get mounts in the game to help you travel through different parts of the map faster and this guide explores every method. Here’s what we’ll cover.

Free Bunny Mount
The first pet that you can get for free in the game will be a bunny. You get the free bunny when you’re about level 18 to 20 as you’re progressing in the main storyline. This means you encounter this quest automatically as you progress through the game and it’s not missable.
At a point, the main storyline will send you on a quest to help Zorin, the pet whisperer. Once you complete the quest and help Zorin with whatever he needs, he’ll give you a mount chest for free.
This quest is repeatable and can be done as many times as the player wishes if you did not get the bunny from the mount chest on your first try.
Zorin’s Quest Walkthrough
Interact with Zorin, the pet whisperer. First, ask Zorin if you can get a pet. He’ll explain that the path to becoming a rider is challenging and if you’re ready to face all challenges.
Next, you’ll need to click on the “Path of the Rider” option to trigger the quest that rewards you with a mount chest.
Accept the quest and follow Zorin. The first task is to stay at Zorin’s pace and within the circle as you follow him. He’ll move at a certain speed and you have to match his speed and ensure to not leave the circle until he reaches point B.
Once that’s done, he’ll head back to the barn. Talk to him again and let him know that you kept up with his pace. Next, he’ll task you with killing bears and wolves and bringing back their fur.
You’ll need:
- 10 Werewolf fur from forest werewolves
- 12 Bear fur from female grizzly bears
Go to the nearby forest and start farming for bear and werewolf fur. After you’ve collected all the furs, take them back to Zorin. In this next part, he’ll assign you the task of acquiring some items. Here’s what you need
- 1 Enigmatic Sigil
- 2 Small Healing potions
You can get the Enigmatic Sigil and two small potions from an NPC named Lillian Graindove who’s running a Grocery Store in the Town of Virdis, which is the main hub. A small healing potion will cost you 320 essences each and the Enigmatic Sigil costs 400 essences.
You’ll need a total of 1040 essence on you in order to get all the items needed for this last part of the quest. Once you’ve collected all the items, head all the way back to Zorin and he’ll reward you with the Mount Chest!
Open the chest and spin to see if you got the bunny. If you didn’t get the bunny then players can replay this same quest until they finally get the bunny mount!
Seasonal Pass Free Mount
At around levels 80-81, you get a free mount from the seasonal pass. This mount is a large lizard type of mount that would look very cool to ride on throughout the maps.
To traverse the maps in the early game, however, you’ll still need a mount before you reach 80. So, it’s a good idea to try for the Bunny even though the quest may seem a bit tedious. This is especially true when you factor in raising your pet to reach level 10 so you can actually mount it.
Buying Mount Chests
An alternative to farming the “Path of the Rider” quest until you get the bunny mount from it, is to simply buy a mount through the Faction Store Keeper.
Speak to the NPC Aldric Yorgren and search through his store. You’ll find some pet chests that he’s selling. Hover over each chest to learn what the chances are that it may drop the mount you’re looking for.
To find Aldric Yorgren, start from the entrance of the Town of Virdis and take your first right.
From there, keep heading straight when you reach the road and the Faction Store Keeper should be on your left.
Training
It’s important to note that once you obtain a pet from a chest, you’ll need to train them to level up. Pets from chests are typically small and unevolved. A small and young pet cannot be used as a mount until they are at least level 10.
When you take your pets out on quests, they use a portion of your EXP that you gain but this levels them up and makes them stronger.
Allowing them to use some of your EXP will allow them to become an asset so in turn, you can use them when they are bigger and stronger.
Once you allow your pet to progress from level 1 all the way to level 10, it becomes an actual mount that you can use to travel to places faster and navigate your way through different parts of the map more efficiently.
