Game crashed at the end of a dungeon? I feel you, bro.

Diablo 4 is a great game that players can enjoy… if it’s not crashing randomly. Yes, Diablo 4 players are experiencing random crashes that happen, well, randomly. Whether it’s in the middle of a dungeon or while you’re idle and not doing anything, Diablo 4 will crash and you will get the Fenris error. This is undoubtedly annoying to those who are looking to destress after a long day, but we have a simple solution here. In this guide, I will show you how to fix the Fenris error.

How To Fix Fenris Error

Now, there are multiple ways to fix this error, but these are all just temporary fixes until Blizzard releases an update that fixes these bugs. The good news though, is that one of these fixes are recommended by Blizzard themselves, so there’s some credibility behind it. The first method to fix the crashing is to download the updated drivers for your GPU.

Updating your drivers helps in preventing issues like this in the first place. It helps your graphics cards be better optimized to run the game. Without the latest update, you’ll most likely run into crashing like the Fenris error.

The other fix that is going around the community that is said to help with performance is to cap the framerate on the game to 60 FPS. It’s unknown why this fix works for some people, but it is being reported that lowering the max FPS to 60 will help reduce the crashes in the game.

Here’s a bonus fix for those who like to overclock their graphics cards. Apparently, some people are reporting that overclocking makes the game unstable, which causes the game to crash and get the Fenris error. So to stop getting these errors, anyone who overclocks their graphics cards need to either stop overclocking in the meantime or uninstall MSI Afterrburner.
