Ever worked in a restaurant before? It is killer. Restaurant workers do not get enough respect for the amount of work they do when it’s time for lunch and dinner, especially when the restaurant is short-staffed. In Disney Dreamlight Valley, there is a quest called An Important Night at the Restaurant. This is a quest that lets you have Remy from Ratatouille become a permanent villager in your village. If you are interested in having Remy stay in your village, then follow this guide to complete the quest first.
An Important Night At The Restaurant – Disney Dreamlight Valley
An Important Night at the Restaurant is a quest that you can do when you unlock the Ratatouille. When entering the Ratatouille Realm, go inside and speak to Remy. He will then tell you to wash three trays of dishes that are in the kitchen.
The only way to wash these dishes is by watering them with the Watering Can. As unorthodox as it is, it’s actually the only way to wash the dishes, even the objective in the corner says to do it this way. You can find a tray full of dishes here.
The second tray of dishes is in the back of the kitchen.
And another tray of dishes near the entrance to the kitchen.
Once that’s done, talk to Remy again. He will then ask you if you want to cook something, which you will agree to do so. He will ask you to cook any meal using a fish. You can do this by going to the back and grabbing a Rainbow Trout.
Cook the fish and Remy will compliment you on your cooking, but he asks you to try it again with a fruit. Once again, grab another Rainbow Trout, then get an Apple and go back to the cooking pot. Throw both ingredients in the pot and you will complete the objective.
After showing the new dish, Remy will then ask you to help him make a 3-course meal. Starting with the first meal, Remy will ask you to make Hearty Salad or Bell Pepper Puffs. We went with Bell Pepper Puffs for this.
You will need one Bell Pepper, Cheese, and an Egg to make this dish. After cooking the Pell Pepper Puffs, bring the appetizer to Remy.
After bringing the appetizer to Remy, he will then ask you to find the Cookbook in the kitchen. You can find the Cookbook in front of the entrance to the kitchen, right next to the fridge. Bring the Cookbook back to Remy, and he will ask you to cook the next meal.
For the next dish, Remy will ask you to choose between Pizza Margherita or Vegetable Casserole. We went with Pizza Margherita, as pizza is obviously superior. To cook this dish, you will need Wheat, Tomato, Cheese, and any spices. You can choose between Basil, Oregano, etc. Bring the pizza to Remy, and he will give you the next meal, which is dessert.
For the last meal, we went with Banana Pie. To make Banana Pie, you will need Butter, Wheat, and Banana. Cook the meal and bring it to Remy.
Once you give the food to Remy, he will tell you that the dinner rush has started, and someone ordered a Ranch Salad. To cook this, you will need Lettuce, Tomatoes, Corn, Bell Pepper, and Onions. Cook the food and place it in the Service Hatch for the waiters to bring it to the customer.
Finally, we get to create the dish that Remy specializes in: Ratatouille. Remy can’t cook it because he’s in the middle of three other orders, so you do it for him. To create the iconic Ratatouille meal, you will need Tomato, Eggplant, Zucchini, Onion, and any spices. Once you have prepared the dish, place it in the Service Hatch for the waiter to deliver to the critic.
After a grueling dinner rush, Remy will want to talk to you and ask you if you want to work for him. However, you give him a counter offer: to work for you instead in your village. It takes some convincing, but eventually, Remy will see the benefits of working with you and decides to go with you instead.
