If there’s something, or “someone”, that shouldn’t be missing from Aladdin’s adventure, then that should be none other than the Magic Carpet – or just Carpet for short. Luckily, Carpet is back in action in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s latest update, the Tales of Agrabah. But to get your hands on this trusty companion, you’ll need to complete a certain quest first. The quest in question is called Carpet Diem, and here’s how you can complete it!
Carpet Diem Quest Guide
After dealing with the ravaging sandstorm in Agrabah and completing the Wish Magic quest, you’ll be able to unlock the Carpet Diem quest.
This quest will task you with stopping the Windcaller, which is this large floating stone structure in the Aladdin Realm.
To get started, simply interact with Carpet who’s right next to Aladdin and Jasmine. This will then trigger a short cutscene where you fly toward the Windcaller. After the cutscene, you’ll then receive an objective which is to destroy the Windcaller’s Crystals.
Destroying the Crystals
As soon as you arrive at the Windcaller, you’ll immediately find the Red Crystal right in front of you. With your pickaxe in hand, move close to the crystal and smash it. It’s as simple as that!
After that, you’ll have to do a bit of platforming to get to the other sides of the Windcaller and destroy the remaining crystals.
You’ll notice some gaps in the floating structures leading to the other sides of the Windcaller. To make it through, pick up the plank right at the starting point and place it on gaps like the one below to proceed.
Break the rocks blocking the way, then pick up another plank to place it on the next gap. This will then lead you to the Yellow crystal.
Once you’ve destroyed the Yellow crystal, you’ll notice a puddle on the ground. Use your fishing rod to fish out a plank to get to the remaining areas.
Shortly, you will come across this bridge blocking the way. Equip your pickaxe and smash it to lower it, allowing you to move forward.
Turn left and push the raised plank to use it as a bridge to get to the other floating platform. From there, simply smash the Blue crystal then make your way to the last one.
Push the barrel blocking the way and break the rocks near it. You should see a banana lying on the ground. Pick it up then backtrack your way to talk to the monkey right next to the raised plank.
Hand over the banana in exchange for the plank right next to it. Continue moving forward until you reach a gap separating you from the Green crystal. Place the plank to get across and smash the remaining crystal.
Head back to the Valley for the remaining objective.
Place Aladdin and Jasmine’s House in the Valley
In the Valley, open your inventory and navigate to the Furniture tab to find Aladdin and Jasmine’s House. Place it in an open spot, and then head over to where you placed it to unlock it using 20,000 gold.
Talk to Aladdin back in the Central Market, then return to the Valley with Aladdin this time around. Talk to him once you get there to activate the last objective.
Open your inventory, head to the Wardrobe section, and select Magic Carpet. Take a picture with the Magic Carpet afterward, and voila! The quest is complete!
Wrap-Up
With Carpet now unlocked as your companion, it’s going to be a hit hard to replace it in the long run. You could be stuck with it as your companion from the looks of it.
