Disney Dreamlight Valley: Easter Event 2024 – Update 9 Guide (Quests, Rewards & More)

The Easter Event 2024 is coming back to Disney Dreamlight Valley! From March 27th to April 17th, you can expect a lot to appear in the Valley. During the event, you can collect Wild Spring Eggs, Spring V-EGG-etables, and Egg-cellent Fruits from Egg Fruit bushes.

With the items, you will be able to contribute to seasonal Dreamlight Duties and craft all the seasonal furniture. When the event is back, make sure you do all the daily and weekly quests for all the event materials. In this guide, we’ll show you what we know about the event.

Easter Event 2024 Guide & Information (Companions, Rewards & More)

The Easter Event 2024 Announcement is part of the Laugh Floor Update Patch Notes. During this event, you will also be able to buy and unlock new pieces of furniture, so make sure you log on daily and check the stores to see what’s in stock!

V-Egg-etable Seed

During the Event, you will be creating a special type of seed called the V-Egg-etable Seed. To craft it, you will need to obtain:

• Egg-cellent Fruit: These are also items you can find on the map. There is usually the food or vegetables icon to help you navigate yourself toward these items.
• Wild Spring Egg: On different biomes, you will be able to find these on the ground. They will be limited and you can only collect a certain amount each day.
• Dreamlight: To craft one seed, you will need to use at least 20 Dreamlights, so make sure you save up some of these for the event!

Just like any other seeds, you can plant down the V-EGG-etable Seed and it will grow after a short while. After that, you can harvest it and obtain the V-Egg-etable item.

New Furnitures

With the items, you will be able to craft amazing furniture items such as the Over Easy Chair, the “Don’t Put ‘Em All in One Basket” Basket, or the Spring Egg Bounty.

There are also many items that will make their appearance again this year as well as potential new items that may be added. So make sure you log on to not miss out on these great furniture pieces!

Blue, Pink & Yellow Spring Rabbits

During the Event last year, you will also be able to obtain the Blue Spring Rabbit, Pink Spring Rabbit, and Yellow Spring Rabbit.

It is likely that they will return this year and you will be able to get one of these in your inventory.

All New Premium Shop Items

In this week’s rotation for Disney Dreamlight Valley (Update 9), we have some pretty fun things to get that allows us to customize our house, tools, and our characters. Here are the new items you can find in the shop, as well as their price:

• Snuggly Duckling Tavern House – 3750 Moonstone
• Monsters, Inc’s Tool Set – 3750 Moonstone

  • Monster Fishing Rod

Laugh Floor Update 9 Hidden Features

There are so many new hidden additions, bug fixes, and features that weren’t in the patch notes of the Laugh Floor Update 9. Many of these are Quality of Life updates that enhances your experience interacting with shops and decorating your home.

(Spoiler: They still messes up your Collection. And a few more bugs.)

1. Mysterious door on top of Dream Castle. Nobody knows where this leads and you can’t interact with it. Future updates might add a new realm here!

2. Scrooge now lets you purchase 1000 items for every item. Before this, you had to wait the day to change to buy the same items if you want more. Now, you don’t have to wait anymore. Surely, you don’t need 1000 tables, yes?

3. Floating Lanterns from the Star path floats exactly like they do in Tangled. They have similar behavior like the clouds and costs 6,800 each.

4. Forgotten Island bugged rock is not bugged anymore. You no longer accidentally glitch into it and loses items.

5. Auto-Cooker is now less annoying with faster additions. You can now hold and add ingredients in split seconds. Increased efficiency!

6. Vacuum now allows you to select which objects you want to collect. No more accidentally sucking in items you wanted as decorations. It still costs mist to use.

7. Speckled Path no longer clips weirdly.

8. Buildings now have extra restrictions around their borders. For example you can’t add the bench on the footpath of Haunted Mansion anymore. Fairy House has a wide footpath and you can’t put eggs inside other objects anymore.

9. You can now sort your Furniture based on Star Path category.

10. You can now put more items on the table, like the Coffee Beans and Dreamlight Fruit.

11. Star Path duties now give 5 per quest for the first 3 pages and then 10 for subsequent quests. There will be enough for you to wipe clean the shop still.

12. There’s a tease for a new skin for Anna that isn’t yet available!

13. Two new universes have been added to the game: Lady and the Tramp with Peter Pan. Have you found their items?

14. A well-deserved fix on how pineapples are supposed to look. It was so surprising to see pineapples grow underground before Update 9.

15. The camera is bugged. Many have complained about being unable to go out of certain mode unless they snap a picture first.

There you have it! Those are all the new hidden features (and bugs) that came with Update 9 Laugh Floor in Disney Dreamlight Valley!

Dreamlight Quests & Achievements

Next, there are also many Dreamlight quests/achievements that you can do during the Event. If you do them, you will be able to receive exclusive rewards along with Dreamlights.

These quests are also likely to come back in the 2024 Easter Event. However, we do not know whether the rewards will be the same or will there be any changes and additions.

Getting The Blue and Green Soda

Mike needs a lot of soda to help him with his next act. Get these fizzy sugary drinks with the two tokens that he gives you. You actually need three sodas to complete this final arc of the questline, so you have to be strategic with how you use these tokens.

How To Get The Sodas

The soda vending machines will be found on the Laugh Floor. They’re hard to miss, so just head to them. There will be 3 types of sodas you can pick from red, blue, and green. To get all three, follow this scheme:

• Red Soda – Interact with the machine and select the soda.
• Blue Soda – Flip the blue switch next to the machine, then interact with the machine and select the soda.
• Green Soda – The machine is broken, so use your Royal Pickaxe to hit the machine to get the soda.

After you’ve gotten each soda, go back to Mike and he’ll put on his long-awaited show. 

Congratulations! That wraps up the quest line for Mike and Sully in Disney Dreamlight Valley. You can now make a house for them in your valley for the humble price of 20,000 Star Coins. 

But wait! Where’s Mike? You’ll notice that Sulley is the only one there, so talk to Sulley and you’ll discover that Mike stayed behind in their Realm to take a picture. Head back to the Realm and take Mike’s Employee of the Month picture for him. 

After this, take a selfie with him and speak to him. This will finally wrap up the quest of getting blue & green sodas!

Wazowski Special & Sulley’s Coffee – Explained

If you haven’t yet, unlock this realm by going to the Dream Castle and heading up to the third level. Open the first door to your left for 15,000 Dreamlight. Once you do this, the Escape Claws quest will automatically trigger.

Go through the first rounds of tasks which involve some cleaning. After, the two will ask you to make them each a cup of coffee. The recipe for both will be on a note by the coffee machine, but I’m here to give you the detailed scoop.

Mike Wazowski Special

Mike will tell you that he wants coffee with a bit of screamer and as much sugar as possible. To make the Mike Wazowski Special drink, follow this recipe:

• 1 Coffee Bean(s)
• 1 Non-dairy Screamer 
• 3 Sugar

Sulley’s Coffee

Sulley will ask you for an extra strong coffee. Follow this recipe to make him Sulley’s Coffee drink:

• 5 Coffee Beans

…and that’s pretty much it. You’ve made the Mike Wazowski Special and Sulley’s Coffee!

Finish the orders and bring them to Mike Wazowski. He’ll show you what “a real jokester” looks like and you’ll be done with this portion of the quest! 

Search Reception for Keycards – Explained

The first thing you need to do in the Eyes on the Prize quest is to find keycards at reception. You’ll immediately realize that the door to reception can’t be opened, so what you’ll need is a MIFT Toolkit. Here’s how to get this item and get that door opened. 

SIDE NOTE: We have a guide which covers everything that you’ll need to know about Update 9 – Make sure to check it out!

MIFT Toolkit Location 

You’ve probably seen this item before during the Escape Claws quest. It can be found on the Laugh Floor inside a red cabinet. It will be beside the Television where you found the fuses last time.

Now that you have the MIFT Toolkit, head back to reception and you’ll be able to get the door open. Interact with the door to fix it. Once opened, head inside reception and grab the keycards on the desk.

Congratulations! You figured out how to search reception for keycards and have now accomplished the first portion of the Eye on the Prize questline. Take the keycards to Mike Wazowski and he’ll give you the next task you need to do.

Have Your People Talk To My People – Paste Mike’s Face on Vanellope’s Posters

During the “Have Your People Talk To My People” mission, you have to paint some Mike’s faces. It looks like Vanellope was enjoying her fame a little too much. And now, Mike Wazowski wants to play some harmless pranks on her.

Paste Mike’s face on each of Vanellope’s promotional posters becomes the next objective. you need to find 4 locations of these posters.

Peaceful Meadow

Peaceful Meadow: The poster is easily just after the corner behind Mike after you talk to him here. Add some of Mike’s faces on the poster.

Plaza

Plaza: The Plaza is another easy find. Before the fountain in the middle of the map is the poster under the shades.

Forest of Valor

Forest of Valor: Next poster we’re going to do vandalism on is in Forest of Valor. It is just next to the building to the south.

Dazzle Beach

Dazzle Beach: And finally, to the Dazzle Beach near Gaston at the foot of the staircase. Paste some more Mike’s face and you’re done!

Once you’re done with all four, it’s time to find Mike again at his house. And that’s how you finish the “Paste Mike’s Face on Vanellope’s Posters” part of the mission in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Disguise Yourself as a Monster – Escape Claws Quest

First, you’ll want to Examine the door to the Laugh Floor. To unlock it, you will want to use 15,000 Dreamlight. Once you have unlocked it, you will be able to enter.

In the next area, if you interact with the door, you will find that you do not have access to it. To resolve the situation, you will need to disguise yourself as a monster.

In the corner of the room, you will be able to find some monster work notes along with a closet. When you interact with the closet, you will receive some monster gear that you can wear to disguise yourself.

Next, open up your inventory and open the box to receive the items. You can now wear the Monster Gear on your character. There are three items you can choose from:

• Bat Wing Ears
• Pointed Monster Ears (Blue)
• Monsters Inc. Hard Hat

After that, you must take a selfie with your new Monstrous Disguise. Once you’ve taken a photo, you will be able to complete this part of the quest.

That’s how you can complete the ‘Disguise Yourself as a Monster’ objective in the Escape Claws Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How To Find Frightcade Game – The Power of Knowledge Quest

Teleport to Monster Inc. realm to find the Frightcade Game. From the first room you are in, go right to find the Frightcade Game next to the door. It is the room with the red flooring next to the vending machine. Pick it up and head back to Sulley.

Talk to Sulley who’s been having problem trying to teach about power and electricity to Vanellope. Show him the Frightcade Game and there you go!

Getting to the Frightcade Game Quest

You may have seen the Frightcade Game before and wonder if it’ll ever be part of a quest or maybe, if you can own one for yourself. To get this specific quest, you have to reach Sulley Friendship level 7.

Speak to Sulley who’ll ask for your help and begin “The Power of Knowledge” quest. This is a chain quest where you’ll have to subsequently, craft the Lemon Clock first. The Lemon Clock can be crafted on the Crafting Station using 10 Lemons and 2 Iron Ingots.

You can craft Iron Ingot using 5 Iron Ore and 2 Coal Ore each.

After crafting the clock, bring it to Sulley and listen to their conversation that gets progressively hilarious. And that’s when Sulley will ask your help to find the Frightcade Game.

The Dreamlight Magic Arcade Game will be the reward later after you work on your magic with this Frightcade Game.

How To Get a Whoopee Cushion

The Whoopee Cushion you need for Mike is actually just in Monsters Inc’s realm. After teleporting here, go to your right, past the room with red flooring and to the room that connects to the backside of the desk area. You’ll find the Whoopee Cushion there.

Unfortunately, there’s a bug where you can’t pick up the item here. There can be several ways to fix this:

• Try to use the Watering Can on the object, leave, and come back to retrieve it.
• Try restarting your game.

We’re certain that the developers will roll out a hotfix to patch this bug in the near future. But for now, that’s how you can get a Whoopee Cushion for Mike Wazowski during the “A Comedic Proposition” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Getting to the Whoopee Cushion Quest

The “Comedic Proposition” quest is available after you reach Friendship Level 7 with Mike Wazowski. He’ll be asking you to scour for good jokes from other people in Dreamlight Valley: WALL-E, The Fairy Godmother, and Vanellope.

Once you do, go to Mike and then Sulley to get their opinions. Mike decides to finally hold the first ever Comedy Night in the Valley. And to do that, he needs your help with the props and materials.

This is where you need to gather the Whopee Cushion, Laugh Canisters (10) and a Rubber Chicken. They are all at Mike’s workplace, the Monsters Inc. Once you do, give the Whopee Cushion and Rubber Chicken to Vanellope who loves the props and then talk again to Mike.

With excitement of the show’s D-day getting closer, Mike will ask you to help craft the Comedic Meet and Greet Decor. To craft this placeable furniture, you need 15 Bricks, 10 Fibers, 7 Iron Ingots, and 10 Laugh Canisters.

• Brick: 5 Clay and 1 Coal Ore
• Fiber (5): 1 Seaweed
• Iron Ingot: 5 Iron Ore and 1 Coal Ore
• 10 Laugh Canisters (Quest-related)

Craft it, place it in the Valley, and let the show roll on! In case you’re ever lost during the Eye on the Prize quest with Mike – That’s how you get a Whopee Cushion in Dreamlight Valley!

All 3 Keycard Locations

All three keycards are pretty close to each other, so you probably will not have many problems locating them. Let’s first have a quick look at their locations, and we will give more details in the remainder of this guide.

1. At a desk in front of the Laugh Floor door, inside a filing cabinet.
2. Inside a filing cabinet next to the third workstation.
3. On the desk at the last workstation.

First Keycard Location

You are going to find the first keycard basically behind the Laugh Door. It is located inside a filing cabinet next to the computer. It is also pretty close to Mike Wazowski.

Second Keycard Location

The second keycard piece is pretty close to the first one. Just head to the third workstation and search the filing cabinet. You are going to find it right there.

Third Keycard Location

Finally, the last keycard is located on the desk at the last workstation. Just go there, and you will see it lying on the desk.

How To Use the Keycards

Once you have collected all the keycards at the Monster Inc. Realm, you can move on to the next step. You will need to repair those keycards in order to use them.

You can easily repair the keycard by going to a repair station. To find it, open the crafting recipes menu and functional items, then choose the repaired keycard.

By putting all three keycard pieces you have found earlier together, you will acquire a keycard to unlock the final door.

Now, go back to Monster Inc Realm. You are going to need to use your newly crafted keycard on the last secret door. That one will be located just next to the last workstation. Once you use your keycard, the door will appear in front of you.

Along with the secret door, there will be a chest. If you open it, you will find a clothing bag as a reward.
