You’ll eventually come to a point in the “Clearing the Road” quest where you’ll need to find Mulan’s Key for Mushu in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

The ferocious dragon seems to have misplaced the key somewhere. All he knows is he had it on him while putting dragons in the wagon before leaving camp. As you might imagine, it’s up to you to go find Mulan’s Key to complete the quest. It opens the chest that holds your final reward, so it’s in your best interests to help out anyway.

In this short guide, we’ll tell you where to get Mulan’s Key to finish the “Clearing the Road Quest” quest in Mulan’s Realm.

Where To Find Mulan’s Key | Clearing the Road Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Mulan's Camp exit

The only clue that Mushu gives you regarding Mulan’s Key is that he dropped it near some wagons. While it’s very vague, it’s more than enough to help us find the key! So, to start, exit Mulan’s camp through the door by the Cooking Cauldron.

Carts outside of camp

Keep going straight ahead and you should notice a bunch of carts blocking the road next to a bunch of large stones. These might be related to the wagons that Mushu was talking about!

Mulan's Key location

Approach the carts and look to your left, facing the large rock next to the carts. Inspect the shimmering lights in front of the rock and you’ll find Mulan’s Key. It was hard to see from afar due to the grass blocking the view, but it’s pretty easy to spot once you’re up close.

Reward for the quest

All that’s left for you to complete the “Clearing the Road” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley is to head to where Mushu is in Mulan’s camp. Give him the key and follow him to the chest to claim your reward: Mulan’s Surprise. Open it from your inventory to claim the Defender’s Sword, which you can hang on walls for decoration.
