Doors Floor 2: How To Spawn & Encounter Dread + Get It’s Not My Time Badge and Achievement

A major update has just arrived, introducing Doors Floor 2, The Mines! The new floor adds a whole new level of experiences and challenges, along with a variety of fresh achievements and badges to unlock. One of the most sought-after badges is the “It’s Not My Time” badge, which requires you to encounter Dread.

However, with the Floor 2 update, the mechanics have shifted, making things more challenging. Not only that, but you’ll also have to play around the “Crucifix” item in the game! In this guide, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know about encountering Dread and earning the elusive “It’s Not My Time” badge in the game!

How To Spawn & Encounter Dread + Get It’s Not My Time Badge and Achievement

In order to get the It’s Not My Time badge, you’ll have to crucify Dread—First, a Crucifix is an item that you can find in Floor 1 (The Hotel) and Floor 2 (The Mines). However, it’s much easier to locate in The Hotel map of the game. The Crucifix item is used to crucify an entity, and you can use it on Dread as well!

Getting A Crucifix

In Floor 1, Crucifix can be found in rooms while you journey throughout the game—it can also be purchased from Jeff’s shop. While in Floor 2, you can only find a Crucifix in small garden areas inside Boxes that require Shears to be opened. But then again, they’re very rare to find in the Boxes.

So, the best way to get the It’s Not My Time badge is by buying a Crucifix from Door 51 in Floor 1 (the location of Jeff’s shop), and then attempting to encounter Dread in Doors 52-80. Dread can’t spawn in Room 0,50, and 89-100—0 because it’s the Spawn Room, 50 because it’s the Figure’s Room and 89-100 because of the Courtyard area and the Finale of Floor 1.

Spawning & Encountering Dread to Get the Badge

NOTE: Although I haven’t personally tested it yet, I can confirm that I’ve encountered Dread between rooms 1 and 3 in this update. From what I’ve gathered, Dread only appears once per run, so be ready for the encounter. Additionally, you can backtrack to previous rooms, but advancing to new rooms will be restricted once Dread has appeared.

Once, you get the Crucifix from Jeff’s Shop, go over to Rooms 52-80. You can stop at the first room that you see that has a “working clock” on the wall. But if you didn’t get a Crucifix from Jeff’s Shop and already had one stored in your Rift, then you can do this step in Rooms 1-40 as well for a Room with a “working clock”.

Now, you’ll notice how the clocks reset their handles whenever you open a door to a new room, that is the timer for Dread. When it strikes 12, Dread will spawnHowever, there’s a catch. Once you are in a room with a Clock, you need to move in game in the same room for 10 minutes. You cannot stand AFK, as that will not make the timer work for spawning Dread.

The Clock doesn’t tell you the exact timer—It’s just a reference for you to look at, if you are to enter a room and keep moving for 10 minutes. Now, get your Crucifix and follow the steps of running around the same room for 10 minutes and then Dread will spawn. Equip the Crucifix and run into Dread to crucify him!

Also, another thing you should keep in mind is that when 7 minutes have passed in the same room—The lights will start breaking, which means so much more Screech will spawn. That’s why it’s not recommended to AFK while taking the It’s Not My Time badge.

Bonus: AFK System & How It Works

I suggest walking around and interacting with objects in the room you’re in and also in previous rooms to prevent yourself from being AFK. Of course, if you’re in a room with no clock, but a previous room has a clock, you can backtrack to see the clock in the previous room.

As for Floor 2, since there are no clocks there, it helps to have a Stopwatch to track of the timer. (Start the stopwatch as soon as you open the door, and if Dread doesn’t appear after 12 minutes, it’s a good time to restart).

Another thing you should note is that in both Floor 1 and Floor 2, after 7 minutes have passed, all the lights (including guiding light) in every room will break/disable. This will lead to Screech having a significantly increased spawn rate—and a long (about one minute) ambient sound will play. As for the AFK part, a system will be implemented to stop people who need to go AFK for 10-15 minutes from dying to Dread.

How The AFK System Affects You & Dread

This system basically activates: Whenever you are standing still for too long in the game, opening another tab while playing Roblox for too long or generally doing something that can trigger the “AFK” system. Also, it prevents Screech from attacking you, even if you’re in a Dark Room. However, it deactivates after you come back to playing the game, you’ll notice because a Screech will attack you as soon as you come back.

Unfortunately, the AFK system also affects Dread. If you are to do any of the following things I’ve mentioned, this will affect Dread’s spawning—and this is also why several people haven’t managed to spawn Dread.

So, my suggestion is to: Keep walking after every 5 seconds. Interact with items in your current and previous rooms. DO NOT Open any other applications while playing Roblox, and to fully focus, do not be AFK! Soon and surely, Dread will spawn.
