In Genshin Impacts newest update, players are in for a treat as new quests are now up to play. In the newest update, we get a whole trilogy of quests called the Dune-Entombed Fecundity. Yep, this comes in three parts, each of which takes a while to complete. So if you plan on doing these quests, maybe you should take the night off of doing anything and get in front of your computer and play some Genshin. In this guide, we will be showing you how to complete the Part 1 of the Dune-Entombed Fecundity trilogy.
Genshin Impact – Dune-Entombed Fecundity Part 1
There are 5 major points in the chapter that can be difficult: Connect the Junctions, Find Another Way to Enter the Central Area, Proceed Deeper, Head into the Depths, and Activate the Mechanism. We will be covering these 5 major points in the quest, as the rest of it is pretty much going from one objective to another.
Connect the Junctions
When you first get the objective to connect the junctions, you will need to climb up a hill to reach this pyramid mechanism. Interact with it and some sand will start pouring out of the wall.
Once that’s done, drop down to the ground and you should see another pyramid mechanism next to an enemy. Interact with the mechanism and this will show a cutscene of the first set of junctions connecting, and a door opening.
Once the cutscene ends, head through the door and look for this cell. Interact with it so it can rotate and face the other cell that’s across from it.
After you are done connecting the cells, head outside once again to interact with this mechanism. This will trigger a small cutscene that shows another set of junctions connecting.
Once the second set of junctions have connected and the cutscene ends, go on up ahead and look for another mechanism that is being guarded by enemies. These enemies are much more stronger than the other ones, so it’s recommended to take them down. Once defeated, interact with the mechanism and you should have successfully connected the last set of junctions, allowing you to proceed.
Find Another Way to Enter the Central Area
Moving forward until you reach the room where the objective is to find another way to the central area, go across the room to the other side. Make sure to avoid the huge chasm in the middle. Once you reach the other side, you will find another mechanism here. Interact with it and Paimon will tell you that the mechanism is able to adjust the sand.
Once the cutscene ends, go to this cube mechanism on the left and interact with it. The door will open, allowing you a passage inside.
Once you are through the door, go left where you can see a large doorway. Inside, you will find enemies and another mechanism. Look to the left side of the room and you can find console that seems to have something to do with the force field. Interact with it and the force field goes down, allowing you to go to the mechanism again.
Go up to the mechanism and interact with it. Paimon will tell you that the flow of the sand has changed, and that you should check on the other mechanism that didn’t work before (it’s the one in the room you were previously in. If you checked on it before interacting with the console, it will not work).
Go back in the room and interact with the mechanism, which will glow and cause the force field to the right to drop down. Before you go through the newly opened area, there is a cell that is not turned on. Make sure that the cell is facing the direction of where the force field was, so that it can connect with the cell that turns on the lift.
This is the lift that needs the cell to be connected. Once you have connected the cell, take the lift down.
After the lift stops, move into the room. You should see a mechanism in the room in the middle. Interact with it once to change where the sand flows.
With the flow of the sand going to where the cell is, rotate the cell so that it is connecting to the other cell. This will cause a door to open.
Before going to the door, you need to interact with the mechanism again to change the flow of the sands. This will open a wall that allows the cell near the newly opened door to connect to the cell that’s on the other side, which is important to proceed.
Once both cells have been connected, go through the newly opened door and interact with the cube mechanism, which should then open the door, showing an alternate way to the central area.
Proceed Deeper
Now that we have a new way to get to the central area, the objective will change. Now, we have to proceed deeper into the area. Drop down into the chasm and follow the path.
Follow the point of interest in the mini map. When you get there, there will be enemies guarding a locked mechanism, which appears to be the key to opening the door. Defeat the enemies and the mechanism will unlock. Interact with it and the door will be opened.
Once the door opens, go through the door and you should see a staircase to the left. Down there, you can see a fragment of Liloupar. Go down the stairs and collect it.
Head into the Depths
After that cutscene that we will not explain for spoiler reasons, you then have to continue your journey to go deeper into the depths.
Eventually, you will find a locked mechanism again. Once you approach it, an enemy will come out of nowhere and attack you. This enemy is strong, so be prepared. Once the enemy is defeated though, interact with the now unlocked mechanism to open the door (you also get a bonus Exquisite Chest).
Go through the door and keep heading deeper into the mountain. Until you find another mechanism. Interact with it and a brief cutscene will play.
Activate the Mechanism
You are now in the central area, which means you are close to the finish line. The only objective here is to activate the mechanism.
However, once you activate the mechanism, you will be surrounded by 4 monsters that will try to destroy the mechanism. Your objective is to defeat them and keep the mechanism from being destroyed. That’s why beforehand, make sure all of your heroes are healed.
Once you have defeated the 4 monsters, the mechanism successfully triggers and the door opens, allowing you to exit the mountain. This will lead to a long cutscene, which also ends the part 1 of the Dune-Entombed Fecundity trilogy.
