Elden Ring is a game where you will be testing out your limits. You will be dealing with very hard and difficult bosses and NPCs that can one-shot you, but at the same time, you will need to face some players too. In this guide, we will be showing you how to Free Aim Spells and Consumables toward other players. Let’s get started.

How To Free Aim Spells And Consumables – Elden Ring

Having the ability to Free Aim while using some sort of spells or some throwables is the best thing ever. You won’t have to lock on to a target which in the case of Elden Ring, as we know, it can be clunky and sometimes result in a complete miss and failure.

This way you will be able to throw the spells wherever you want to throw them. If you learn how to do it, with time you will be an unstoppable force of power. No one will be able to dodge your skills or even run away from you.

The biggest thing that will be used for this mechanic is by using the fireballs and the canon. You can make them land in completely weird times which your enemies won’t see it coming.

You can Free Throw any type of spell by simply holding the throw button and de-selecting any target. You can turn it off in the settings menu.

Note, that whenever you will be throwing any type of projectile, you will be throwing it in the direction that your character will be facing. If you are booking on the right with your character and you want to throw in front, you will physically need to make him move and look in front.

The throwing mechanic and projectile will always go down if you throw it simply by looking straight. If you want it to fly as much as possible, you will need to look up. And if you want it to go further away, you will need to look up sometimes to the sky even.

So to hit any target that will be in front of you these are the basics:

  • Face your body toward your target
  • Look up depending on how away your target might be
  • Hit the throwing button while using the look camera up or down to calculate how far away you will need to throw it
  • If it is a moving target – plant where you will want to land with the thrown projectile, sometimes it can be where your target is moving towards.

The same works when you will be throwing consumables at your enemies.

This isn’t easy to do. So just take your time, be patient and keep practicing. You can also find a target on any map. Maybe a pillar that is far away in the distance. Keep throwing the projectiles toward it until you get the range and the speed of your throwing skill. Then with time, you’ll get better and better.

That’s everything you need to know about Free Aiming and throwing Spells and Consumables toward your enemies. We hope that this guide has helped you out on how to do so. Happy aiming!
