Youtube’s not been doing great these days with all sorts of bad decisions from the higher ups making a lot of big Youtubers upset. It’s come to a point where even channels that you wouldn’t imagine to get demonetized are getting the punishments as well. They’ve recently changed their terms and services as well and that effects monetization from Youtube shorts, so if you’ve noticed that you’re shorts aren’t getting monetized it’s because they’re waiting for you to accept the new terms. In this article we’ll show you how to do that!
YouTube Update Guide Jan, 2023 | Enable Shorts Monetization
When you go check your Youtube Studio you might have noticed a big red thing on top of the page, and I’m not talking about the big red play button. There’s an exclamation there saying “Action Required” and it tells you to accept the new terms of YouTube partner program.
On the far right of the alert is a button you’ll need to press the button that says “Review and Accept.” Click on that to proceed.
It will show you something like the image below, the Review Updated Terms window. There you’ll have to click “view” on the right and scroll to the bottom and check the box that says you agree and press accept.
You’ll need to do that for both steps and once you’ve done so you can then press the submit button at the lower right. With that you can now stay with the partner program!
Now to monetize shorts you’ll need to go to the “Earn” tab and go to Shorts Feed Ads. There you can press the button turn on button to start. Same as before, scroll down and check the box and accept the terms. You’ll now earn money from Youtube shorts!
Youtube’s a bit shaky right now, hopefully they do better for the creators in the future. All we can do is voice our opinions and wait to see what happens. Many thanks to oo for showing everyone how to do this, if you need more information on the subject then go check their video out here: Enable Shorts Monetization | YouTube Update Guide – YouTube
