Era of Conquest has been launched globally after being in early access for almost a year. The game is a strategy and civilization game in which you can choose one starting civilization with the goal of dominating the world.
To celebrate the release of the game, we have made a beginner’s guide with redeemable codes that you can use to get extra rewards.
Beginner’s Guide & Codes
This guide will be divided into multiple sections to go over the codes and all the aspects of the game that is essential to learn for beginners. Let’s take a look!
Codes
First, you need to know how to redeem codes in the game. This is quite simple and can be done by clicking your avatar in the top left corner of the screen.
Inside the menu, select the Others option, and there should be a Redeem Pack option.
All of these codes start with the same letters and differ depending on the social media platform. Here’s a list of all the codes that you can redeem in the menu.
- eocfollowfb
- eocfollowytb
- eocfollowtw
- eocfollowdc
- eoc2023
These codes will provide you with free Gems and Summoning Stones, which can help you in early game progression.
How To Switch Server
Inside the character menu, you can also switch your characters and the server for a fresh start. Upon selecting the option, you can navigate to the server list which will show you all the available servers. This is the easiest way to find a server that you can join with your friends.
Burn Build
The one positive thing about this game is that it rewards people for playing more and more. Sure there are microtransactions involved, but these do not immediately boost the power of the players. The game tends to gradually increase the power of those who play it for longer periods.
In terms of the Burn Build, you will need to have Leonidas and Mary which are both paid characters. These two in a build will most likely result in a team that has the highest attack power in the game.
For the third character, El Cid is a good option since all players receive him for free. You can also switch out El Cid for Hermann if you prefer to use him.
Damage/Control Build
If you encounter someone who is using the Burn Build, you can employ a Control & Damage Boost Style that will absolutely destroy such players. The reason for this is simple most of the heroes in this build will use the Silence buff.
What this buff does is it neutralizes the burn effect of the heroes from the Burn build, which renders them useless in combat.
As shown in the image above, Li Shimin, Yi Sin-sin, and Ying Zheng. All of these heroes can be unlocked for free, making this a great starting build.
Starting Steps
Upon starting the game, the best way to progress is to simply complete the quest that show us at the left of your screen, as shown in the image below. Most of these quests will involve exploring the area around you and removing fog.
Although the start of the game is quite difficult since it requires a lot of grinding, it is worth it in the end as you progress quickly. Make sure that you defeat surrounding rebels in the area to prevent attacks on your base.
Alliances
All players are put into random Alliances the moment they start the game. Additionally, you cannot switch your Alliances in the first five days that you play the game. There will be voting periodically that will allow members of an Alliance to elect its leader.
The election is open to all players, so you can also run in it if you want to. There should be a Run for Election option in the top right corner of the screen when voting. You will need to input a declaration message, so make sure it is a good one.
How To Level Up Heroes
Leveling up heroes in this game requires them to actively engage in combat rather than just dumping experience on them. For this, you will need to constantly attack rebels that spawn outside your camp.
In the overview section, select the Hourglass symbol, and all the rebels should pop up. Simply select the highest-rated ones. We have found out that attacking level 5 rebels is a good way to gain more experience.
Expansion
Lastly, you will also need to consider about expansion of your empire. This is an important part of the game since it allows you to get stronger and switch cities. As the game progresses you will find you that the territory that you can expand is massive.
This naturally means that you will need to travel very long distances for capturing unless you shift your cities to captured territories. This is a very good approach to avoid hour-long marches and also provides a fresh perspective on your base.
We hope that this beginner’s guide for Era of Conquest was helpful to you. Let us know in the comments below if you have any questions or suggestions for future content.
