We got some really incredible new level updates in Escape The Backrooms. Cave System is one of the seven new levels, featuring a truly dark cave system with seemingly left behind equipment. And just like that, you’re now here looking for a way to remove the darkness in the Cave System.
But we know the secret: yes, it’s possible to see in the game. No, it doesn’t need any modding or cheat, it’s very, very legal and you can find the settings in the game.
How To Remove The Darkness In Cave System Guide
The Darkness in Cave System level can be removed by fiddling with the Shadow Quality settings in the game. Before you remove the darkness, below is probably what the game looks like for you. Unless you change the gamma settings of your game, it’ll be very dark and almost impossible to see anything.
The darkness of Cave System is probably the main antagonist rather than what’s lurking behind it. Fear of the unknown made this a scary level to traverse because you basically can’t see anything. Which is the intended mode for the level, and we’ll definitely suggest that you experience this to the fullest before fiddling with it.
However, if you want to remove the darkness in the Cave System and be able to see, here’s how. Open your game Settings, and go to the Graphics tab. Scroll to the Shadow Quality and turn that down to Low.
Once you have that down, you’ll be able to see in the game. It’s as if the brightness has been cranked up to the max.
The reason for this is because the Volumetric Lighting settings is tied to the Shadow Quality. That’s why when you play around with those settings, you’ll also change the darkness of this level. And that’s how you can get your sight back for Escape The Backrooms Level 8!
