Gunning down creatures that were supposed to be extinct millions of years ago never felt better in the new Exoprimal game that’s currently being developed. Somehow dinosaurs are running amok once again, and to keep things fresh robots and exosuits are being thrown into the mix.

It’s kind of sad that this is the closest we’ll be getting to a Dino Crisis remake though. What’s sadder is that you can’t even get the game to run without crashing back to the desktop. If you’re unlucky enough to experience this while trying out the open beta then read through this guide and get back into the game!

Fix Black Screen, Fatal Crash, Infinite Loading & More | Exoprimal

There are multiple things that come into play when you’re game isn’t functioning as intended, here’s a list of things to consider before you push through with troubleshooting and save yourself the trouble:

  1. Have the latest drivers installed for your GPU, the same thing should be done for DirectX.
  • Disable your antivirus as it usually gets in the way of installation since it likes to think it’s doing you a favor by deleting files without your consent.
  • Check the minimum requirements provided on the Steam page and see if your hardware is compatible.

If most of the troubleshooting methods above have been done and the issue still persists, (and you’ve confirmed that it isn’t your hardware that’s causing the issues) the next best thing you can do is to reinstall the game completely.

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Uninstall the game from Steam.
  1. Check your steamapps folder to see if the game and its contents are gone, here’s how the file path should look like: Steam\steamapps\common\Exoprimal
  2. Run a steam verification after reinstalling.

With these methods, you’ll be putting down dinosaurs in no time. Try them out as soon as you can, the next time you’ll be able to play if you miss out on the beta is on the 14th of July!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
