F1 23 is the latest entry in the F1 game franchise. It takes everything from the last entry and makes it better. However, it also unfortunately took the “Save Failed” error with it as well. This error is very common and has shown up in the last couple of F1 games, and it’s very annoying to see that this hasn’t been fixed yet. Luckily, there are some fixes that will help in letting you save again. In this guide, I will show you some of the fixes that can help you start saving your game.

How to Fix “Save Failed”

There’s a couple of ways to fix this issue, and one of them involves having to tinker with the Windows Security and Windows Firewall. For the Windows Security, all you need to do go to “Virus & Threat Protection”. Under “Ransomware Protection”, click on “Manage Ransomware Protection”. Controlled Folder Access should be on by default. Under that, click on “Allow an App Through Controlled Folder Access.”

In the new screen, you will see the option “Add an Allowed App”. Click on that and a new window will pop up. From there, you will need to navigate to where your F1 23 game folder is installed. Once you find it, go in the folder and add the “F1_23.exe” and “F1_23_Trial.exe”. This will let your computer allow the exe files to make changes to your computer, like saving.

Adding F1 23 to Windows Security.

Moving on to Window Firewall, go to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall > Allowed apps. Here, you will get to add the F1 exe files so the Firewall will not stop them from doing anything like saving. Click on “Change settings” at the top right and you will be able to add the exe files.

Just like in the previous fix, go to where your game folder is installed and add both “F1_23.exe” and “F1_23_Trial.exe” one by one. Afterwards, click okay and the changes will be saved.

Adding F1 23 to Windows Defender Firewall.

That’s all of the fixes you can do to fix the save error for F1 23. Did these fixes help you fix your save issues? Let us know in the comments below.
