Having cool armor and weapons in the game is one of the best things strive for in video games. Some people go for the stats of said armor, but we really know that we’re all going for the looks. In Final Fantasy XVI there’s a bunch of gear in the game that your character can equip. The thing is, can we change the armor appearance in the game?

In this guide we’ll show you if you can change the armor appearance of the main character. Now let’s see what we can do with trying to get new looks!

How to Change Armor Appearance Outfit

Most games often let you see the armor you’ve equipped so it’s not that hard to assume that a modern Final Fantasy game would do the same. That’s not the case with Final Fantasy XVI though since you actually can’t change the appearance of your armor or outfit. The only way you can do so is later on in the story where the outfit changes.

So, in short you can’t change your armor or outfit appearance outside of story events!

Final Fantasy XVI Walking Out Of Smoke

In most Final Fantasy games, you can’t really change the armor appearance of the characters unless the story demands it. That’s mainly because they creators of the series want their characters to be iconic and often times that means keeping the same armor or clothes. That’s why you never see Tifa in anything except when the story wants her in a dress.

That’s how armor and outfit appearances work, or in this case, doesn’t work in Final Fantasy XVI! This might be a deal breaker for some but it’s tradition at this point. If you’re sad that you can’t change outfits in the game why not take your frustrations on the many enemies in the game? Check out our guide on the Sekhret Location to beat it up!
