Alright, so I’ve been deep in Elden Ring: Nightreign lately, specifically messing around with the new Duchess path, and wow, this questline is packed. If you’ve found yourself staring at the “Find Armament Maintenance Materials in Limveld” objective and wondering why nothing’s updating, trust me, you’re not alone. I banged my head against this one for way too long before I figured it out. I’m going to show you exactly how to complete the Remembrance for Duchess objective, a quest step that sounds simple, but comes with a bunch of caveats that FromSoft conveniently forgot to mention. I’ll walk you through everything, how to start the quest, where to go, who to talk to (and in what order), and most importantly, how to make sure your progress counts.
Find Armament Maintenance Materials in Limveld – Duchess Remembrance
The Duchess’ Remembrance questline is part of the new Duchess path in Nightreign. It kicks off in the Realm of Remembrance and opens up some seriously lore-rich character content, if you can actually get the steps to register.
If you’re curious to learn more about how Remembrance Quests actually work (and why they can be so tricky), I’ve got a full guide where I break everything down, definitely check it out if you want the full picture before diving in.

Step 1: Unlocking Chapter 3 of the Duchess Journal (SKIP If you already have the Objective Active)
To get started, you’ll need to unlock Duchess Chapter 3 in your Journal. If you don’t see it, just keep completing Expeditions as Duchess until the Memory Fragment for Chapter 3 appears.
Once you’ve got it:
- Head into the Realm of Remembrance.
- Talk to the Raider standing next to the Roundtable and exhaust his dialogue.
- If you’re unsure where someone is, open your Roundtable map, NPCs with quest progress will show an exclamation mark. You can also fast travel from the map menu.
Next:
- Find the Wylder, located in the room next to the Journal. Talk to him fully.
- Return to the Raider and speak with him again.
This will unlock the Personal Objective: Find Armament Maintenance Materials in Limveld.

Step 2: How to Actually Complete the Objective
IMPORTANT: Before queueing into matchmaking, make sure the Duchess Remembrance is active in your Journal. If it’s not active, the game won’t track your progress, even if you beat the objective.
Also note:
- Only one Remembrance can be tracked at a time, and it’s based on the host’s Journal.
- If you’re playing co-op, progress only counts for the host.
- Some Remembrances (even after a successful boss kill) still don’t register unless you’re hosting.
Location & Objective Walkthrough
Once in an Expedition as Duchess:
- Look for a red circle on your map, this marks the material’s location: Gardens of Dew.
- You can do this as early as Day 1, but it’s safest to wait until Day 2, Level 7–8.
- You’ll need to defeat three Erdtree Guardians. They hit hard, so bring your A-game.

Tip: Use your Ultimate to take down one or two of them quickly. Clean up the last one carefully.
After the fight:
- Pick up the Golden Dew from the glowing bush.
- Important: Finish the run, either win or lose. If you back out early, the quest step will not track.

Step 3: Turning Everything In
Once you’ve completed the Expedition and returned to the Roundtable:
- Go back to the Wylder and give him the Golden Dew.
- He’ll talk a bit, then reward you with the Faded Iron Coins.
- Talk to the Raider again, yes, exhaust his dialogue fully.
- Head west on the map to the small forest, where you’ll find the Revenant. Talk to her.
- Finally, go to the Codex Room and talk to the Iron Menial.
- Select the prompt: “About the Wylder’s condition”.
- Listen to what he says, then conclude the Remembrance using the glowing strand.
Reward: You’ll receive the Golden Dew Relic at the end of this sequence.

Wrap-Up
And boom, that’s how you knock out the Duchess’ armament material quest in Limveld. Honestly, once you know what to do, it’s not that bad… assuming the game actually tracks your progress. Just remember to activate the Remembrance, be the host if you’re co-oping, and finish the match no matter what. if you run into the Erdtree Guardians, don’t forget to bring the smoke. Also, it’s not the exact same quest, but if you’re diving deep into Nightreign like I am and want to knock out Wylder’s Remembrance too, we’ve got a guide for that as well, definitely worth checking out if you’re chasing full completion (or just curious where his story goes).
