Fighting through hordes of enemies in Destiny 2 is fun. With the new Lightfall expansion now out, you can expect everyone to be jumping in and taking down Cabal forces with their friends.

However, a lot of people get so caught up in the excitement that they don’t do some of the most crucial things when starting a new expansion and Season in Destiny 2.

We don’t blame them for it, since it is a new expansion for Destiny 2 after all.

Here is a guide on what you need to do when starting Lightfall.

Destiny 2 – First Thing You NEED To Do In Lighftall

Equip Your Mods

Upon starting the game and jumping into the first mission, you might notice that your Guardian might not be hitting as hard as they used to, or that they are getting defeated way too easily.

Well, that is because Lightfall removed your mods. It’s a weird thing whenever a new expansion comes out, where the latest expansion removes all of your mods from your armor.

That explains why you are not performing like you used to.

To fix that, you will need to simply re-equip everything you had previously.

Luckily, the game doesn’t shove you into a mission when you start the game, so you will have plenty of time to equip whatever mod you had on before jumping into the first mission.

Get the Seasonal Artifact

After completing the first mission, you will need to head straight to Nimbus on Neptune and get the Seasonal Artifact. This is very important because the Seasonal Artifact also has mods (or perks) that you can use as you play the game.

When you get the Seasonal Artifact, Ascendant Scepter, you can then equip whatever mod you want. As long as you have the points for it.

This isn’t like your armor mods where you will have to re-equip them when changing gear. Artifact mods will stay on for as long as the Season is active.

He's also a huge fan of superhero media like Marvel and DC, so he's practically played games like Spider-Man and the Batman Arkham games. He's also into multiplayer games that strike his fancy, specifically games like Call of Duty and Fortnite. Most especially Fortnite since he can play as different Marvel and DC characters in a battle royale against other famous and iconic characters.
