With the relatively recent release of Fisch, it has been gaining a lot of players over time, and all these new anglers are now struggling to figure out how to make money in the game. In this guide, we will share with you one somewhat reliable way to earn a steady stream of cash. Be warned, though, there will be some preliminary grinding to do first!
Best Way to Grind Money Guide
Before we get started, there is quite a bit of farming you will need to do first for this method. To be more specific, you will need a total of roughly 16,000 C$, assuming that you are starting from scratch.
This is because you need to get a certain fishing rod, as well as any boat. In this case, we will be using a rowboat, which is the cheapest option that you can get at just around 700 C$ from any shipwright.
With your trust boat, you will need to sail to Terrapin Island by following the compass south. Once you sail far enough from the starting island, the names of each possible destination should become visible, so there is no chance for you to get lost.
Once you make it to Terrapin Island, walk on over to the shipwright by the beach. There, you will find the Magnet Rod, which will cost you 15,000 C$. This is something that is required for the money grinding method, as it almost always guarantees that you will get a certain crate when fishing.
If you cannot afford it yet, you can always just continue fishing on the island. You might need to go elsewhere to find a merchant though.
The Main Money Grinding Method
When you have finally purchased the Magnet Rod, go back on your ship and sail towards Sunstone Island. This can be found just to the northwest of the starting island. Set yourself up near the merchant and start fishing with the Magnet Rod.
While using this particular rod on this island, you will almost always get a crate of some kind. One of the most common things you will be reeling in are going to be Quality Bait Crates. These can then be sold at the nearby merchant for 150 C$ each.
This is basically the whole method, as it will grow your cash stack faster than relying on normal fish. The only real downside to this method is the initial 15,000 C$ investment for the rod. However, you will be needing that rod for other stuff anyway, so it’s worth it!
Alternative Spot – Sunstone Island Cave
If you go up the long ladder on the other side of the island, away from the NPCs at the port, you will find yourself on a cliff with Rhea and Merlin (inside a hut) nearby. Ignore these NPCs and walk towards the edge of the cliff to the southwest.
There, you will find a fairly well-hidden entrance to a cave with a ladder leading down to the depths. If you can’t find it, check the image below for reference on where to go and what the entrance looks like:
When go down the cave, you will find a Sundial Totem for sale beside a shady man with a hoodie. Behind his little hidden store setup is a small body of water with boxes floating around.
This spot supposedly has a higher chance of giving you crates, though you will still need the Magnet Rod to take full advantage of it. Just to experiment with other rods, I tested this with a Carbon Rod (which is much cheaper) and typically only got a lot of junk, such as seaweed and driftwood.
That wraps up this entire method for farming cash, which is great for any level, as long as you can save up for the Magnet Rod first. Whether you are new or have been playing for a while now, this should be one of the most consistent money makers in the game.
At later levels, once you have made a lot of money and have some of the best rods in the game, you might want to look into fishing at different spots over at Roslit Bay. With some decent bait and the appropriate rods, you can potentially make more money or just catch rare fish in that zone.
Strange Whirlpools – Catching & Selling Isonades
Strange whirlpools are also something you can try out, as you can make thousands out of a single catch there. That is a very late game method, though, and not really something you will be doing as a relatively new player.
Be careful not to go into normal ones, as you will just drown. Look out for the ones with a beam of light shining above them. When you find one of these strange whirlpools, you can potentially catch a fish known as Isonades at them, which are worth a lot of money.
You can even jump into it, and doing so will teleport you to an area called Vertigo. This secret location features some fish that can only be caught there, but the Isonades are what you need if you want to make a sizeable profit.
And those are all of the best ways for grinding money in Fisch, at least for the current update. Basically, those who are still new to the game should go for the Magnet Rod method, while the most experienced anglers should be grinding up some Isonades to rack up thousands in no time!
