Warhammer 40K: Darktide is oen of the newer games that is coming out soon and even with that there’s always the Pre-order beta for those who just can’t wait. The game is amazing and Fatshark has really put down a great horde FPS game for Warhammer 40k fans to enjoy. Some players are already enjoying the game with the pre-order beta but some of them are having problems with connectivity issues. This can really put down the fun so in this guide we’ll show you the most common ways to fix this problem so you can go straight back to destroying heretics!
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide | Fix “Disconnected from server” & Connection Issues
You should always keep in mind that the pre-order beta is just that, a beta. That’s why you can get some problems here and there because it’s not the final release version. That means crashes or even disconnections. The fixes we’ll show in this guide is under the assumption that it’s not your actual internet just being slow. These are some possible fixes for the connection issues in the game:
Changing DNS
Sometimes setting your connection network type to private can work and fix the connection. Some people may have mistakenly set their private at home internet connection to public and sometimes this can cause a problem with some games. So make sure that it’s set to a private network.
You can also edit your DNS settings to make sure that the IPv4 is on. Preferred DNS should also be set to 1.1.1.1 and the alternative to 8.8.8.8.
Proxy
Also make sure that your PC is not using a proxy server. This may interfere with connectivity so you can set that to off in your Network & Internet settings. VPNs go the same way and may not be the best when playing online games so you can try and not using a VPN when playing to see if it is stable.
Firewall
You can also make sure to either allow Darktide through firewall or turn off the firewall entirely. The latter may be a bit of a risk but if nothing else works than you can try that.
Updates
You might have heard of this already but make sure that you update your drivers and Windows as well. That includes network and GPU drivers to make sure that nothing is wrong with them. Sometimes drivers can also be corrupted or broken so make sure to check them.
Set Time and Region Correctly
This may sound strange but it actually works. Did you know that some websites won’t even load properly because your system time and date are set wrong? Maybe you’re in the future or in the past in terms of the time so make sure to set it correctly, unless you’re a time traveler then you might have some bigger things to worry about.
