Ark Survival Evolved features many collectibles. However, the Fjordur DLC has added many more to the game. In fact, there are over 200 collectible runes in the Fjordur DLC for you to collect. But what’s the point? You may ask. Well, besides giving you an XP boost and a level or two, collecting all 200 runes will give you Mjolnir, Thor’s legendary hammer. Yes, you read that right. If you’re interested in collecting all 200 runes, here are a few tips to take note of when doing so.
Tips To Collect All 200 Runes – Fjordur Ark Survival Evolved
Collecting all 200 runes is no joke and it will take you hours to do so. However, it’s not impossible. While the runes are scattered thoroughly in Midgard and in the other realms, there are some tips and tricks in and out of the game that allows you to easily find them all.
Before we get started, here is a map of Midgard with all runes available to collect. Take note that these runes can be found in caves and in the water as well, so some of them will be very well hidden. In total, there are 155 runes you can find in Midgard.
In the other three realms, Vanaheim, Asgard, and Jotunheim, there are 15 runes each. Thus, there are 45 runes hidden in the other realms. Collecting all 200 will rewards you with Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer. So, how can you make this search easier?
For starters, utilize the Explorer Map on the Ark Wiki. This will help finding the runes easier as the locations are marked on the lap, and hovering above each rune will display a picture that shows where you can find the rune. After collecting the rune, you can even select “Mark as collected” to remove the rune from the map, avoiding confusion in the future.
Collecting All 200 Runes in Fjordur Ark Survival Evolved
For the in-game tips, use a Direwolf and a Desmodus. Crouching while using the Direwolf triggers the Direwolf to sniff out any runes within 36 foundation radius. Desmodus makes traveling easier. Journeying from one rune to another takes time, and the Desmodus shortens the time it takes to do so.
A big way to travel easily is using the Radio Wheel Teleportation ability to travel faster. This saves time from having to travel to the teleporter and instead makes an Instant Transmission to another realm for fast and convenient travelling.
